New forum look

Thanks. I changed the settings and it's legible now. I'll have to see whether I can do something similar on my Linux machine at home. I haven't seen the new look on it yet. I guess I can live with the flat Windows 8 look.

Ahh....that is what was bugging me. It's flat, doesn't have depth. No big deal for me.

I agree with the choice to reduce graphics.... they can grind anything to a halt. But I do miss the automatic read-out of scripture when you roll the mouse over a written verse.
Yes or No on whether a person says they are Christian, I really couldn't care less.
I like the <ONLINE> feature.
I think a tally of <LIKES> is totally unnecessary, though I would prefer to be able to post in any room, and to have <LIKE> available for every post. (But I know I would find myself laughing at some of the "intellectuals" trying to impress one another in certain restricted forums.... so that might not be so good.)
I miss some of the "roll-over" ID's that have disappeared.

You must be using Internet Explorer. It's much harder to read on the other two main browsers.

It's fine on Chrome for me and looks the same on Safari.

Eora,

It seems to work better on my iPod than the previous look. Am I correct in thinking that it is geared towards being more user friendly on mobile devices and touch screens? I've noticed that this look is quite similar to recent changes to some news sites and such.

WIP pointed out how I could fix it. The text looks much better now. It also works on my Linux machine at home (where I am now), without having to change anything.

I dont like this new look. Its ugly.

I agree. I liked the other look better, but as long as it's legible and usable, I can live with it, even if it does look like Windows 8.
