Not forgiving your brother.

If blaspheming the Holy Ghost is the unpardonable sin and yet you can receive the equivalent of forgiveness,

yet I think that if someone will not forgive his brother, the Father will not forgive him and this may indeed be what is spoken of here:

1Jo 5:16, If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

For it is written,

Mat 6:14, For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
Mat 6:15, But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Paul E. Michael, understand what I am saying to you.

Because when I thought that you had committed the unpardonable sin, I prayed for you.

But now that you held an apparent trespass against me; sicced the moderators on me; and caused my thread to be closed: I am not going to pray for you this time.

You are going to have to pray for yourself.

One thing I'm thankful for: my doctrine got the victory in that thread just before it got closed.

Hallelujah.

Noted, wondering.

Will heed in the future.

Hi wondering,

It is my belief that rules have the tendency to create all manner of wanting to break them when they are known (see Romans 7:7-13).

So, it has been my practice not to normally look at rules. That way, I am not tempted by the "forbidden fruit" or "Wet Paint" principle.

I feel that I can do better in moral excellence when I do not know what the rules are; and try, instead, to bear the fruit of the Spirit; against which there are no just rules (Galatians 5:22-23, Psalms 94:20).

If I end up breaking a rule and am disciplined for it, I usually learn my lesson. And it normally only takes light discipline.

Pro 17:10, A reproof entereth more into a wise man than an hundred stripes into a fool.

It was the same with Jesus:

Heb 5:8, Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

If you exhort me to read the rules another time, I very likely will do it if you think it to be expedient.

However, I am concerned about that Romans 7 principle.

If you don't want to read them, then do this:
Be kind
Be civil
Be respectful
Don't ever address the member

Are those rules?!
Just be nice!

I really don't understand why.
Because instead of a nice conversation, the entire talk turns into a fight between 2 or more persons.
That's not really what we're here for.
We're here to discuss the things of God, and all those other sub-forums on here.
(not to fight with each other).
If you stick to the topic, you discuss the topic and NOT the person.
It's all good.

You consider yourself a brother to me? Why?

What do you mean by "forgive"? And, are you saying that I need to "forgive" you of something? If so, of what?
But now that you held an apparent trespass against me;
What trespass are you saying I held against you?
sicced the moderators on me
"Sicced"? Why would you say that unless you think of the moderators as dogs?
and caused my thread to be closed
Obviously I did not cause the thread you call "my thread" to be closed. And remember what is stated in the TERMS OF SERVICE:
1.13: Threads started by members are not to be considered as a member's thread or otherwise "owned".

I am not going to pray for you this time.
Pray for me for what? Were you expected to pray for me? Were you requested to pray for me?

Among other things, I suppose that means you are not going to pray that I will come around to buying that you actually prayed for me before. Which goes to show that you don't really care about the fact that I don't believe you ever actually prayed for me, despite your having said that you prayed for me. Which prompts the question of your motive for saying that you prayed for me.🤔

One thing I'm thankful for: my doctrine got the victory in that thread just before it got closed.
Oh? So, what was supposed to be the point of this thread that you started right after that thread got closed? The OP of this thread rather seems like an advertisement of dissatisfaction and chagrin with the fact that the false, anti-Trinitarian doctrine that the Son is the Father had no victory in that now-closed thread.

This goes back to yesterday before we all came to an agreement.
Why start up again?

The solution is a thread ban for 3 days so you could think this over. Next is a forum ban.
Please stop.

Paul E. Michael, I think that I am not supposed to address you personally as you just did to me, so I am going to refrain from answering you except in this specific post.

If you want to ask these same kinds of questions to me, please do so in a PM and not on the public forums; otherwise I will be tempted to go against the ToS...

And it is a good thing that wondering made me aware of this specific rule; otherwise you might have gotten an advantage over me.

Wow...just wow lol

There is something about locked threads that the Lord just doesn't like...

And He will do what it takes to bring those threads to the forefront.
Oops.
I forget to SEND my reply.
I wanted to say that all staff hates to lock threads because it interrupts a conversation.
But sometimes there's no other solution ...

Are you Paul E. Michael?

If you are, the fact is, that I prayed for you; and whether you believe that or not is not going to change that fact.

Why should I try to convince you that I did? To me, that would be a thing of ego and not of the Lord...
