  • Romans 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

    Ephesians 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

    Colossians 3:9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

When our "old man" is crucified what then stands there? The sucking child, the weaned child, the little child and they are or become....the man child. The following passage speaks of the millennium when those "children" lead others. The serpent is in his hole....his pit and those weaned from the milk will have no fear of the viper's den.

  • Isaiah 11:6-8 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.

    Isaiah 59:5 They hatch cockatrice' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper.

Whirlwind,

This time is coming and even now is. It is true in all groups of people. Children and serpents. Wolves and lambs. The serpent is in his hole in the ground, his pit. When the serpent is let out of his pit, woe be to those with child and those who are giving the milk of the Word.

Wisdom is justified of her children. Watch for the crushing of the eggs.

If you study a little farther you will see that the 'old man' is replaced by the 'new man', not a sucking child, weaned child, little child, or....the man child. :study
Therefore, the verses from Isaiah don't follow.

  • Colossians 3:10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him That created him:

What is the "new man" Sinthesis? Do you believe he comes fully developed or...as written, is renewed in knowledge. He must grow, therefore...the sucking child, weaned child, little child....MAN CHILD! :-) He is what we strive to become now.

Now why does this look to me like just one more topic where WW is going to teach us yunguns things that scripture doesnt actually SAY that "god" is supposedly telling WW ?

No personal attack meant, but this is getting sort of old...kwim ?
Any one of us here can pick up a bible and read it and understand it. We dont need to be spood fed by anyone who is trying to insert anything into the scriptures that isnt actually there.

Agreed.

Isaiah 11:6-8 is describing the tranquility of the coming age.

No more, no less.

The tares and the wheat grow together in same organizations of the bond woman until the time appointed of the Father.

Gal 4:1-3
1 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.

3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: KJV

The good and the bad fish are gathered together in the same net. During the gospel ministration wolves and lambs, lions and calves are in the same congregations and the ministers who lead them are children in their growth. This is not wrong, but a state of incompleteness.

During the time of the gathering of the elect by the angels, this will be the time described as "the end." This will be when there is a famine for the "hearing" of the Word of the Lord. Faith comes by "hearing." The time of "faith" has finished, the end is the time for the "perfecting" of the saints, the time for the fellowship of his suffering, his gethsemane, wherein he tasted death, that led to his calvary wherein he died in faith. We are predestined to be made conformable to the image of our Lord Jesus, the Son of God.

  • 11 Thessalonians 3:1-2 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.

    3:4-6 And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you. And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

    3:10-11 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

    3:15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

Yes, I agree it is describing the tranquility. However, why do you believe He used the words "little child, sucking child and weaned child" in connection to leading and the den of the asp? I believe much more is being taught than tranquility.

Reading too much into something is as bad as reading too little.
Did you know God hates trees?
It's true. The green movement is not biblical.

Deu 16:21 Thou shalt not plant thee a grove of any trees near unto the altar of the LORD thy God
Jer 6:6 For thus hath the LORD of hosts said, Hew ye down trees, and cast a mount against Jerusalem: this is the city to be visited; she is wholly oppression in the midst of her.
Jer 7:20 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, mine anger and my fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.
Exo 34:13 But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves:
Deu 7:5 But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.
2Ki 18:4 He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves, and brake in pieces the brasen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan.
2Ch 14:3 For he took away the altars of the strange gods, and the high places, and brake down the images, and cut down the groves:

Sarcasm isn't attractive in a child of God. :naughty Unless of course....you believe what you have written. :shrug

Exposing our readers to the workings of an overactive imagination isn't attractive either. :naughty

Might I ask where or how are you being taught this kind of interpretation?

Although I am not 100% in agreement always as the "how" of WW interpretations, I must admit that she is not on the wrong track here. The Lord never wastes a word. I have found that if we change even the tenses or make something plural that is singular, the whole message falls flat.

WW has enough scriptural backing in what she is saying here. Our old man has indeed been crucified and the New Man Christ is in us . We are immature in our faith:

1Pe 2:2 as newborn babes, long for the spiritual milk which is without guile, that ye may grow thereby unto salvation;

Heb 5:13 For every one that partaketh of milk is without experience of the word of righteousness; for he is a babe.
Heb 5:14 But solid food is for fullgrown men, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.
(Not many Christians are here already)
1Co 3:2 I fed you with milk, not with meat; for ye were not yet able to bear it: nay, not even now are ye able;

The main reason we are still like this after 2000 years, is that we chucked the five fold ministry out of the church and replaced it with a one man show.

Eph 4:11 And he gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Eph 4:12 for the perfecting of the saints,
unto the work of ministering, unto the building up of the body of Christ:
Eph 4:13 till (This has not happened yet, because we do not allow them anymore )we all attain unto the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a fullgrown man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

There is the fullgrown man that WW is referring to.

God knew we would do this with the five fold ministry, but He is one step ahead of us. He has been preparing the five fold ministry for the time of the tribulation (most Christians are in denial that its here at the door ) That God calls the "man-child" . Man (fully grown as mentioned in Ephesians ) and child (Because its "born" from the bigger body of the church.

Somehow Christians find this knowledge a true horror. How can God provide us with a new leadership ! What is wrong with the ones we have now !

Well, if we look at how many Christians disagree about the simplest of doctrines, we see that most of the church has not had proper teachers at all. Everybody things its a free for all and they act accordingly. Just read any forum in the Web and you will see that this is true. Most will not even be able to tell you what baptism means , and many still fight against it.

We are desperate need of the new the leadership.

huh....so when someone ADDS to the precepts what were recieved, we should withdraw from them apparently.
Great chapter... :clap

The ongoing issue is that WW seemingly wants to 'teach' things not directly taught in scripture, but adds to some of the things taught therein by piecemealing unrelated verses and passages together to come up with concepts not actually found in Gods word.

Ive a feeling there is much more to this OP than meets the eye...

Tell us WW...how do these children become men ?
And who will help them become men ?

I must tell you something that I find interesting. Most Christians have no idea about the man child teaching. I mean, it must be the most misunderstood thing in the Bible. WW wrote somewhere that she was getting this from the Lord as she was studying. Now the strange thing about this, is she is getting this in private, and yet many of the things she is getting is 100 % in line with the teaching of the man child .This teaching is NOT so uncommon where I live on the other side of the globe.I learned about it, via teachers, and yet she has not. But how does a single woman, on the other side of the globe, get the same insight, into types and shadows , on such a difficult concept,not using a book or the teachings of man, if not from the Lord ?

Also, why is this strange to most Christians.

Why are not more Christians foccussing on their old man being crucified and why are they not focussing on Christ in them, the hope of glory. Seeing that the man child teaching is about Christ and Him IN US and maturing in His people, WHY is this such a sore point to Christians ?

Why can't Christ mature in His people ? Just because we have no faith that that is possible, we shoot it down when somebody DOES have faith for it. Plus the Bible is 100% behind that teaching that Christ is INDEED maturing and not just maturing, He Himself taught that He will manifest one day in the Body of Christ ! Why do Christians stand against this? Would it be so terrible to see Him come to maturity in us?

We should look at our motives.

And with all these heresies floating around it the church, my guess is that it if this 'teaching' does not line up with Gods word, that it will be rejected by His true church entirely.
Of course, there are always false teachers and false brethren who will by into heresies...
I mean, it must be the most misunderstood thing in the Bible. WW wrote somewhere that she was getting this from the Lord as she was studying.
I read WWs thoughts in another thread and I saw the piecemealing of completely UNrelated passages and words trying to create concepts not taught in scripture. That isnt the Lord doing such a thing.
Now the strange thing about this, is she is getting this in private, and yet many of the things she is getting is 100 % in line with the teaching of the man child .This teaching is NOT so uncommon where I live on the other side of the globe. Deceiving spirits do not confine themselves to giving only one person an error.
They are hardly confined to one part of the earth.
