Overcoming Stress

Member
A stressed man was in his office thinking deeply.

Suddenly a man ran inside shouting, "Peter! Peter!! Peter!!! Your daughter Tonia just
had an accident and died."

Shocked and confused, he jumped out of the office window. As soon as he jumped, he remembered his office is on the 7th floor. As he descends lower he remembered that he doesn't even have a daughter called Tonia.
Still descending he remembered he is not even
married. Just two floors before he could hit the ground, he remembered that his
name is not even Peter......

Luckily, he wasn't injured because he fell on top of a lorry carrying mattress.

MORAL LESSON:
Stop thinking too much, try and live a stress-free life.

Pray everyday and God will help you overcome stress.

Whatever else stress does for you, it certainly makes you quick-thinking if he could do all of that within the time it takes to fall a mere seven stories.

mere seven storey? :shocked :lol You must be related to Mr. bean somehow. :lol (You can think fast quite alright under stress.....you can also take a rash decision as well)

If each story were 10ft high, then a seven story fall would be 70ft. Earth's gravity is 32ft per second squared. It would only take about 1.5 seconds to fall that distance. It is impressive that the fellow sequentially remembered that many things within such a short span of time.

I'm 58 years old, I don't have time to stress anymore over the stupid things and I pray for Gods strength during the harder things so it's a win, win with me and God.

Reminds me of the frantic, delusional man who ran into a psychiatrist's office and said, "I'm a wigwam! No! I'm a teepee! I'm a wigwam, no! a teepee" --- back and forth undecided like that. Finally, the doctor said, "Relax! You're two tents (tense)!" :toofunny

When I think about stress I think about Jesus. He knew that his hour had come. The bible tells us Jesus was so stressed he was sweating blood.

A story of stress;

The Bronze Snake

Numbers 21

4 They traveled from Mount Hor along the route to the Red Sea,[c] to go around Edom. But the people grew impatient on the way; 5 they spoke against God and against Moses, and said, “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? There is no bread! There is no water! And we detest this miserable food!”
6 Then the Lord sent venomous snakes among them; they bit the people and many Israelites died. 7 The people came to Moses and said, “We sinned when we spoke against the Lord and against you. Pray that the Lord will take the snakes away from us.” So Moses prayed for the people.
8 The Lord said to Moses, “Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.” 9 So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived.

Talk about it...how stress was the Israelites? The bronze snake represents Jesus who had bronze skin!

thanks for sharing this brother, it made my day :)

A lady went to see her doctor, and said: "Doctor, I don't think I suffer from stress.

But I do think I'm a carrier."

bronze means judgement. not skin. but that is interesting

Dig and investigate a little deeper and you will understand.

i know what it means. its symbolic directly of the cross and judgement. the serpent is the means which god judge isreal for mumuring and they were to look at the brazen serpent. brass means judgement. skin color of jews cant be a literal brass. a vision of him by john doesnt count.that isnt him in his fleshly appearence.
