Paul's New Covenant Theology

Where did I mention that we are without sin?

Our physical body contains sin.

Therefore we who are born again and have the Holy Spirit dwelling within us, are called to walk (live our lives) according to the leading of the Spirit within, rather than walking (living our lives) according to the sinful cravings of our flesh, so that we practice the works of our flesh.

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:16

Great sir, I must have misunderstood you as I gathered even with this post that born again Christians do not sin, all of them struggle with it, even the apostles, Paul spoke about it, Judas lost out because of it. Those of my faith are taught to try to quickly dismiss sinful thoughts before they become fertile based on Jas 1:15, but interestingly a brother gave a talk on it and encouraged us to play the fantasy to the end, see what might result, and I found that very good advice. Think of the consequences that might result if you choose to proceed with the sin.

Those of my faith are taught to try to quickly dismiss sinful thoughts before they become fertile based on Jas 1:15,

Amen so true.

We are influenced to a certain course of action by words.

Words that we believe and therefore act on, lead us either to salvation or to eternal damnation.

Words from God; faith

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Romans 10:17

Words from demons; disobedience (sin)

Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, 1 Timothy 4:1

The law is spiritual. It searches the desires and the intent of the heart, Hebrews 4:12. One lustful thought makes you a sinner.

By far and wide most have departed from the faith. Jesus sure hit the nail on the head at Mat 7:13, the majority choose to follow the broad road.

The broad road is the way of religion and many there be that go that way. "Many will say to me on that day, Lord, Lord, didn't we? Matthew 7:22. They thought that it was all about them and their religion.

Cant disagree with that sir, but of course the straight and narrow gate is a religion as well. Just an English word synomymously meaning a form of worship.

The strait and narrow gate that leads to life is Jesus Christ and few there be that find it, Matthew 7:14.

Amen to that sir, ever wonder why so many choose the road to destruction? Makes absolutely no sense to me Robert Pate. I often ask others what it is that God requires that they find so gawd awful that they are willing to sacrifice their everlasting life for it. Most people do not answer, but in reality I am offering it as a think provoking question anyway.

Salvation is a free gift from God, Ephesian 2:8. The reason that most people reject Christ and his Gospel is because they love their sins and don't want to give them up.

Yes sir, that is why I usually ask them that question, to see what sin they love so much that they would sacrifice their everlasting life for it, most don't answer, but you might be shocked at the simple things some say.

What they do not contemplate that the pleasure received from all sin is only temporary at best, and usually leaves you dissatisfied and plagued by a guilty conscience.

Your very best is still sin. This is why Paul said, Romans 3:10.

It is not possible to satisfy the lust of the flesh.

I fully agree Robert.
Sins of the flesh can wreck your life. This is why there are so many diseases that accompany sins of the flesh. Every year thousands of homosexuals die from aids. Some STD's can kill you or leave you blind for life. This is why marriage is sanctified by God.
