Paul's New Covenant Theology

Sins of the flesh can wreck your life. This is why there are so many diseases that accompany sins of the flesh. Every year thousands of homosexuals die from aids. Some STD's can kill you or leave you blind for life. This is why marriage is sanctified by God.
Very true, and God does not shield us from the consequences of it, but does warn us in advance. There is no doubt in my mind that observing God's requirements not only are not grievous but are for our benefit 1 Jn 5:3. I believe we Christians have the best life possible in this world.

Some things are common sense. This earth is not a safe place, there are a multitude of diseases that can kill you or make you wish that you were dead. There are spiders and poisonous bugs that are deadly. My brother in-law was bitten by a bug, he almost died in the ER. Don't swim in the ocean. Don't go into the forest alone. Watch out for strange dogs. One got me on the ground when I was a small boy, if they hadn't pulled him off of me, he would have killed me. And then there are humans out there that get a charge out of seeing you die. The elderly are at risk because they can't defend themselves. When I was a salesman in Los Angeles, I kept a pistol on the seat of my car. The hoods would try to get into your car while you were waiting for the signal to change. When they saw that I had a gun they would back off. Don't go out alone at night. There are people out there looking for an opportunity to do you in.

Yes sir Robert, I do not disagree sir, and virtually every single individual on earth will have to deal with at least one of those things. Likely your astuteness of danger has served as a protection for you sir.
(Proverbs 22:3) . . .The shrewd one sees the danger and conceals himself, But the inexperienced keep right on going and suffer the consequences.

Crime is increasing, while the police are not. People are bailing out of states where the liberals are in control. Keep your doors locked 24/7. I had neighbor that was invaded by a bunch of thugs. They just walked in because his door was unlocked.

The sad thing is Robert, we can only expect a deterioration. Perhaps you believe like many Christians that we are very close to the outbreak of the great tribulation. If you do then you realize that once it does the stuff is going to hit the fan. Right now we are living in the fulfillment of Mat 24:12 but we can expect that to escalate.

I am very thankful that I live in a small town in the midwest, I have lived here since 87 and the worst that has happened to me was a neighborhood kid stole a motorcycle off my deck that was worth about 300. Only a few minor other things, we live in a pretty good town and I am quite thankful to reside here, and I might add at this time. That can change very quickly.

I am not looking forward to the great tribulation. I am looking forward to the return of Jesus. The Lord is not going to let his people go through a tribulation. Matthew 24:12 has already happened.

I had a bunch of cousins that lived in Southern Illinois. I think that they are all dead by now, maybe a couple are still alive.

Yes sir, same here, I side with John at the end of the Bible, Amen! Come Lord Jesus, but definitely would like to not be here for the greatest tribulation of all times.

I like southern Illinois for sure, dirt ride there a few times a year, going in a couple of weeks in fact.

They banned those ATV's in California some years ago. To many people getting injured and even killed on them. The wheel base is to short and it is easy to flip one over with the thing on top of you. One of my wife's nephews flipped one over and put him in the hospital with head injuries. Be careful.

It can happen Robert for sure.

I literally seen something I really don't believe, and to this date don't understand it. A friend had a 500 quadzilla, a light super powerful atv, he went up a hill that was virtually impossible, kind of a 2 stage hill with a bit of a flat in the middle. He flipped on the second stage and fell flat on his back, the atv exactly paralled him and fell flat on him and bounced off, somehow his body lifted to his feet straight up as if a film was put in reverse, he did not get up he bounced up after the atv left him, he stood there swaying and said Gee, that smarts! That is technically impossible and I do not understand it today, but was the funniest crash I had ever seen. The way he calmly said that cracked us all up. Neither he nor the vehicle were hurt bad. I wish I had that on film.

Sorry about your nephew in law. I have been riding since I was 14, and had many not so serious crashes, but enjoy it immensely. It is a dangerous world, and I actually know people who rarely leave their house because of fear. Trees fall on houses, snow collapses roofs, meteors have came through roofs, etc. The truth is: (Ecclesiastes 9:11) . . .I have seen something further under the sun, that the swift do not always win the race, nor do the mighty win the battle, nor do the wise always have the food, nor do the intelligent always have the riches, nor do those with knowledge always have success, because time and unexpected events overtake them all. . .

Looking back on our youths, many of us wonder how we survived. I once dropped a motorcycle running over 100 with just a t shirt and jeans and boots for protection. You just never know.

100 miles an hour on a motorcycle is insane. Do you have a death wish?

No sir, in fact I didn't even think about it. The bike was capable of much higher speeds I was in 3rd gear. I was a motorcycle mechanic, and was test riding the bike as he was disappointed in the performance, and I wanted to make sure it was right. It ran, but bucked me off like a bronco. I did make the statement at the time that I would never ride anyone elses bike that way. I trust my own bike, but they will have to do their own performance check. It was a 73 Z1 Kaw. They were noted for speed wobble. It had it, but my ignorance of it resulted in the crash.

I was just a stupid kid, and now I have matured fully into a stupid adult.

I don't think you are stupid. Life is a learning process. I learned never to walk across a long train trestle after getting caught in the middle of one with my brother. There was no place to go. We ran across the trestle and jumped about ten feet down onto a pier. barely made it. Young and dumb. Train was going about sixty miles an hour.

That is scary for sure. In fact just reading it literally gave me a scare. There is something very drawing about train trestles, I have always been drawn to them. I used to ride my atv in Railroad tracks, and sometimes it was very scary when the track ahead is obscured from vision, so I know what you mean.

Thanks for your kind comment. I am a moron however, I believe I have alzheimers, yesterday I was doing some work on my motorcycle trailer underneath, so I had it in my driveway and disconnected it from the ball, so I could elevate it. I was afraid it would roll forward while I was working on it so I chocked the wheels. After I finished I wanted to check the new mount I installed so I lowered the trailer hooked up the chains and lights and forgot to close the hold down clamp. I also removed the chocks. When I loaded my bike the back end of the trailer went to the ground, (thankfully) and stopped the trailer from actually rolling and hitting the car, but I stood there yelling for my wifes (or anyone else that might have heard) and thankfully she heard me and came out and moved the car. Yes sir, of all the things I have lost, I miss my mind the most.

You sound pretty normal to me. You might try taking a brain supplement. It will help your memory. I just started taking one.

It frustrates me sir, the cruise control on my Rv quit working last year so I decided to work on it. It is a universal that has settings for different vehicles. It worked for years, but the settings were not what they should be so I set them to what it should have been and put it on. One of those settings were pulses, I had it set on 8000, which is the max setting, and I believe is rpm. Because my rv is low geared, it maxed out with the cruise at 62 mph. I thought 8000 rpm is ridiculous so I set the cruise to 5000. Like I said this worked for years, why would I tamper with the settings? Because I am a moron. I am planning a trip next week and kept thinking I bet that cruise will not work, so I decided to take it for a spin yesterday I was so right, it went 40 max mph. So it took me three times of settings to get it back right, and it only gets around 6 mpg so I used gallons of gas getting the thing to work. Just stupid stuff like that if you know what I mean.

The sad thing is I was thinking that when I set the settings by the book, I should have known better.

Trying to fix things that you don't know anything about can be very frustrating.

The New Testament is a spiritual guide through life. Faith in Christ and his Gospel will bring the Holy Spirit who is our guide and teacher, John 16:13-16. Go with God and sin not.

New testament is simply a term that got applied to the Greek Scriptures somewhere along the line Robert. The 66 books of the Bible make up the Bible sir, and much of the Old Testament still guides us. True, we Christians do follow the New testament predominantly because it contains the new commandments for God's people.

I agree with you fully though Robert, it is a manual for our lives.
