On Wikipedia there is a list of sovereign states. I have decided to find pictures from all of them in alphabetical order. Anybody who wants to may feel free to take part and post pictures from places on the list. The list is in two parts - UN member/observer states and other states, so you might have to look at both lists to get the alphabetical order right. The first sovereign state is not a member of the UN and it's sovereignty is not widely recognized.

These is stunning light phenomenon often seen in the northern regions of countries such as Norway, Sweden, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Alaska and Canada.

Yes, I have seen the northern lights quite often, especially during the winter, when it's dark most of the day. The only problem is that I live in a city where the street lights mess things up so you cant see the northern lights or even the stars very well. One interesting thing about living this far north is you can often look south and see the northern lights, although they do also appear north of me as well as directly overhead.

That is cool.One thing I like about living in the country is the stars are gorgeous.Very bright.Sometimes I see a falling star.
