[__ Prayer __] Please Pray for Me

This seems so small that I almost hesitate to ask.

I have been suffering from depression after a long-term breakup, and although I have sought professional help and tried to move on, the pain just won't escape. I pray that God will deliver me from the emptiness I've been feeling and that I will be able to do whatever he asks.

I also pray for friends to talk to about God and have Bible studies with... I'm having difficulty finding Christian friends that I can talk to about Jesus irl.

I also pray that my unsaved love ones will accept Jesus into their lives.
Thank you.

i've been thru some of that myself, and u will overcome that thru Jesus, when u do you'll release that no matter what were in God is still able to give us joy, and that not easy to say that. I went thru a two year depression of over the breakup of my firstlove,and looking back at that time it is still painful,but God allows some hurt to remain to reminds us that he did heal us. I was unsaved at that time.
in prayer
Jason

There are people here who will talk about Jesus with you!

I am one. Churches will open their doors too...

God Bless you in your search for Him wren.

Thank you all for your prayers.

I have been earnestly reading the Bible everyday and praying.

In His time, he answers prayers, I just have to keep trusting God.

Are we the soil that God plants His seed into?
Sometimes I forget - especially when my heart is in turmoil.
When the good farmer turns my soil with his shovel - the terror of it can shake me up pretty well.
I don't even notice as the seeds are planted - I'm just seeking answers, reading the bible earnestly like you.

Then, at some point I'm more settled than I was.
I can look out and see the sun shine -- feel the warmth of His love for me.
My outlook has brightened.
I hear somewhere that I am to be a doer of the Word and not just a hearer only.
Action and struggle - the seeds that have been planted are growing in me, yes?

Here then is my favorite poem:
Khalil Gibran said:
Then said Almitra, "Speak to us of Love."

And he raised his head and looked upon the people, and there fell a stillness upon them.

And with a great voice he said:

When love beckons to you follow him,

Though his ways are hard and steep.

And when his wings enfold you yield to him,

Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you.

And when he speaks to you believe in him,

Though his voice may shatter your dreams as the north wind lays waste the garden.

For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth so is he for your pruning.

Even as he ascends to your height and caresses your tenderest branches that quiver in the sun,

So shall he descend to your roots and shake them in their clinging to the earth.

Like sheaves of corn he gathers you unto himself.

He threshes you to make you naked.

He sifts you to free you from your husks.

He grinds you to whiteness.

He kneads you until you are pliant;

And then he assigns you to his sacred fire, that you may become sacred bread for God's sacred feast.

All these things shall love do unto you that you may know the secrets of your heart, and in that knowledge become a fragment of Life's heart.

But if in your fear you would seek only love's peace and love's pleasure,

Then it is better for you that you cover your nakedness and pass out of love's threshing-floor,

Into the seasonless world where you shall laugh, but not all of your laughter, and weep, but not all of your tears.

Love gives naught but itself and takes naught but from itself.

Love possesses not nor would it be possessed;

For love is sufficient unto love.

When you love you should not say, "God is in my heart," but rather, I am in the heart of God."

And think not you can direct the course of love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.

Love has no other desire but to fulfil itself.

But if you love and must needs have desires, let these be your desires:

To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night.

To know the pain of too much tenderness.

To be wounded by your own understanding of love;

And to bleed willingly and joyfully.

To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving;

To rest at the noon hour and meditate love's ecstasy;

To return home at eventide with gratitude;

And then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart and a song of praise upon your lips.
This chapter entitled "Love" from his book "The Prophet" (1923)

Never hesitate to ask, wren. We are all here for you. I will keep you in my prayers. I think the best thing I can say is just try to lose yourself in God and His Word.

"And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst."
-John 6:35

Today at church, the praise and worship team sang Blessed Be Your Name

A section of the song just hit my heart:

Blessed Be Your Name
on the road marked with suffering,
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your Name

Despite all the circumstances, Praise God. We were created to praise him and that is what I will do. No matter how high or low we feel, we should always praise him.

I Love You Lord!!!
(seems so small compared to how much He loves me back) :)

Have just prayed for you.

I love that song! Here are the rest of the lyrics (from http://www.lyricsbox.com/matt-redman-ly ... s45jc.html)

Blessed Be Your Name
In the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name

Blessed Be Your name
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed Be Your name

Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be'
Blessed be Your name

Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name

Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your name
