Pray for our borthers and sisters in the Lord

interesting......

If we didn't have the written words of those who were there, history, when our Lord walked this earth and died, and the OT written words by the Jews, we wouldn't have the Bible we read everyday.
When an archeologist finds the very first written on stone, name of King David proving to the world that he wasn't a mythical being, I suppose we shouldn't take notice and we shouldn't use that information to witness to unbelievers.
When science keeps pointing to a Divine Creator we should ignore that too. Even though atheist scientists have become believers.
Scientists recently found that a beautiful fish in a lake in Africa morphed twice over a period of less than forty yrs., from a larger head with a shorter tail, to a shorter head with a longer tail and then back again proving that environmental changes can cause very quick changes in the same specie. Proving that it doesn't take millions of yrs for this to happen. Isn't our God amazing. He takes care of the little fish in the lake as well as the sparrow.

Blessings :)

Interesting...

All those historical references of Jesus.... oh wait, there isn't any. Just the Bible. So my point being that, people trying to fudge Revelation into accounts written by a historian is a 'chasing after the wind'. And then to have the audacity to talk about such matters like they 'actually know' without ever considering they could be wrong, isn't faith, it's pride. Fine line. Big difference.

Blessings.

And why do you think that they are wrong in their interpretation of Revelation?

Hi Deborah,

They may not be wrong, but to speak on such matters with such authority and without having any respect or appreciation for anyone else's opinion, is a little rude. Revelation, of all books, is probably the most difficult to discern, yet it seems we have scholars posting here that were given the divine revelation themselves.

Anyway, I'm sorry for posting an initial poor response - it was hardly Christ like and was posted with a lack of love. For that, I'm sorry. I hope you're cool Deborah and you have a nice weekend.

Take care.

I agree with you, we all need to remember to operate in the love of Christ, in all things. I think you will find that on both sides of a debate many will speak strongly about what they believe. I don't have a problem with that and don't take it personally as long as no one starts calling names or states that the other person is not saved. That is going too far in my book.
Good healthy debates are helpful to people like me. I can listen, throw in my 2 cents now and then, and often I learn something.
I have my times when I don't respond as I should, I can't count the number of times I have typed out a whole post venting and then deleted it.

Blessings to you and yours, hope to see you posting often. :cross

the bible wasn't divided that way, until a heretic did that.
Heb 8:13 - In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

What heretick do you speak of?

A new and a old, implies atleast two different covenants? Atleast Two different dispensations? Atleast two different ways God dispenses something?

There must be a difference and must be treated as such...

the Lord didn't say in the old testament did he? he in the word. the bible wasn't split by sections like it is today. it was simply the word of god. the torah if removed makes the gospel of no effect. for it tells the reason why jesus had to die. the gospel declares that he did die.

The Covenant the Lord made with Abraham, is the same Covenant that we are under today.

The Law was added to the Covenant with Abraham until the Seed [Jesus Christ] should come.

The Law of Moses as a whole Law, Complete with animal sacrifices and the Levitical priesthood with all those specific and unique requirements has passed away.

The laws and precepts which Abraham walked, which came from obeying The Lord's Voice is what we are to walk in today.

Many of those laws were expressed in the law of Moses, specifically the ten commandments, but not limited to the 10 commandments.

Are far as there being an Old Dispensation and a New Dispensation, whereby the old testament was for the Jews and the new Testament is for the Church, that is not what the Bible teaches.

Abraham was the first member of the Church.
