Our church is starting it Jan. 11...I've heard amazing things about it. We're doing it as a 7-week study

Hey Lakesider do you mind discussing some of the stuff on here once we get started?

We just started last night. I won't get ahead since ya'll haven't started yet but here's the general rundown of what/how it went:

We've got about 60-70 people in our class...all ages from 20 year olds to 80 year olds. The format last night was about 20 minutes of introduction, about 20 minutes of video by the author and about 10 minutes of finding 3-4 other "small group" participants in which you will be able to discuss stuff further at the end of each class.

Our church bought about 50 books, which they're charging about $10 or so each (I think the church might be subsidizing the cost a bit) and they're going to buy about 30 more today. There's also a study/notes journal that Christian book stores sell too apparently. But a lot folks are just going to use a spiral-bound notebook to answer study questions, etc.

Apparently this book was a NY Times best-seller, not bad for a Christian self-help book.
