actually the Church IS TO BLAME. did you know that today you can..

send your son or daughter any religious classes during schools days. as along as it not the school forcing a kid to go its legal.?

why isn't the church doing this? imagine a Friday teen bible study during the day? they leave early from school and go to your church to learn and its ok! been done long before the 60's and goes back for decades before that. yet we just cry about 1962. what about that prayer wasn't stopped during school? just the teachers can't say it during school hours, but they can lead it after hours and no one is made to go to it.

actually she didn't. it was another atheist/ jewish man that ended that. he didn't want his son and daughter being forced to hear the bible. the bible says we ought to compel men not by gun point or other means force men to church or the gospel. if they reject it. let them go. it was mandatory that they had to hear the gospel. I wouldn't do that to my own family. I don't make my wife go to church. I go and she stays home. her soul not mine.

Vashti McCollum brought the first lawsuit, all the way to the Supreme Court, to successfully ban 'religion' from being taught in public schools in the mid/late 40's. She & her family lived in Champaign, Illinois. Her second son Dannel served as mayor of Champaign (late 80s/90s).
