Rapture to heaven in 1 Thess. 4

It says right there, those who are asleep, the dead in Christ, it is those in the grave, the Sheol or Hades will come out at the call of Christ like when He said Lazuras come forth. And the saints who are asleep in the grave will rise as promised at the resurrection at the end..

And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,
Some to everlasting life,
Some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Daniel 12:2

What sleeps in the dust is the physical body.

But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-16

Yes.

Hello- The question is if one is to strictly read 1 Thess. 4:13-17 I was wanting to know if there is specifically anything in this text that states the dead in Christ rise to heaven or does it just say they rise to meet the Lord who descends down from heaven...It does not specifically mention the Lord turns around and takes them up to heaven...I am thinking the verse that must show this is that Jesus said if he goes away he will come again and receive us unto himself that where he is there we might be also...I would also like some input on why this seems to be presented in a pre tribulation time frame, when it could just as easily be shown to happen after the tribulation. Thank you
Hi Freedman,

As the Body of Christ our inheritance is with the Lord on His own throne in the third heaven. So, that is where He will take us as a Body to be part of His inauguration as visible Sovereign ruler overall. (Rev. 3: 21 4: 1 - 4)

We need to remember that we have to take ALL of God`s word for a topic and not expect to have all the details in one spot. If we read further in 1 Thess. 5: 1 - 5 we realize that we are not in darkness and this Day of the LORD (God Almighty in judgment) is not for us. Remember Jesus took our judgment. The Day of the LORD (time period) is of darkness. (Joel 2: 1 & 2)

Around two thousand years ago, Peter Apostle prophesied, saying: 2Peter 3:10 --> The Day of the Lord (the seventh and last Day, the Lord's Day) will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away (the 1st and 2nd heavens, the 3rd will be established from now on - Luke 20:35-36 combined with 1Corinthians 15:24-28 and mainly Revelation 11:15-18)) with a GREAT noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat(GOD is a devouring fire -Isaiah 33:10-17 and so on), the earth also and the WORKS that are therein shall be burned up.
Be prepared or else get ready
( It is echoing throughout the four corners of the earth, through all the evangelical movements, believers in JESUS, that the moment of JESUS's coming is very close. In fact, if we compare the time that still leaves for JESUS's return, with the 2000 years that have already passed, we can emphatically state that the time that remains is simply a blink of an eye. So be prepared or get ready.)
