Religion and the Spirit of Anti-Christ

Martin Luther and the reformers concluded that the Gospel and justification by faith was so enlightening and so radical that anyone or anything that opposed it was anti-Christ. Of course, the Catholic church opposed their newfound faith and called it heresy. After Martin Luther nailed his thesis to the door of the Catholic church there was an uprising and thousands of people died.

Catholicism is the mother of all religions and Judaism is the father. All religions have evolved from these two religions, both renounce the Gospel and justification by faith apart from the works of the law and are anti-Christ. You will not find an organized church that teaches salvation by grace through faith apart from the works of the law. There is always something that opposes the Gospel in their religion.

Example. In the Gospel, we are justified by faith alone, because we are justified by Christ alone. Jesus justifies the ungodly, Romans 4:5 In the Gospel, Jesus reconciles us and the world unto God, 2 Corinthians 5:18-19. This is a past historical event. We have ALREADY been reconciled unto God by Jesus Christ, no laws, rules or religion was needed. You will not find a religion that teaches that.

In the Gospel, we have ALREADY been raised up together and have been made to sit in heavenly places in Jesus Christ, Ephesians 2:6. Because the Gospel is spiritual many religious people are not able to comprehend this wonderful truth. Religion teaches that you must do something to be raised up to sit in heavenly places in Jesus Christ, in the Gospel, we that are saved have ceased from our own works (Religion) and have entered into his rest, Hebrews 4:10.

In the Gospel, we are complete in Christ, Colossians 2:10. Jesus has done it all and he did it perfectly. Jesus fulfills all of the demands of God's Holy Law in our name and on our behalf, just like we did it ourselves. Having fulfilled the law he abolished it, Ephesians 2:15, by nailing it to his cross, Colossians 2:14. In the Gospel Jesus atones for our sins and the sins of the whole world, 1 John 2:2. Many religious people don't believe that they believe that Jesus died on the cross to inspire them to be better holy Christians.

John reminds us that in the last days there will be many anti-Christ, 1 John 2:18. It is the work of anti-Christ to oppose the Gospel and justification by faith alone and make it of no effect. Be not deceived. Religion is man in the place of God. Satan said, "I will be like the most high". Instead of trusting in Christ, Satan wants you to try and be like Christ by becoming religious and then when you fail he will accuse you.

Latin root word for religion is bondage, which is different then that of Gods pure religion of James 1:27, but that of following tradition and the doctrine of a mans church, not Gods true Church. The Latin root word is religare as re is a prefix that means return and ligare means to bind. Religion tells you what you can and cannot do and becomes socially acceptable by mans interpretations, traditions and doctrines. Religion is what nailed Christ to the cross because the Bible is not socially acceptable to society, if it were then Christ would have died in vain. God is not about mans religion, nor does he recognize religion. God is about a personal relationship with you and His son Jesus Christ.

John 1:1 in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:2 the same was in the beginning with God.
John 1:3 all things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
John 1:4 in him was life; and the life was the light of men.
John 1:5 and the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:10 for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

The biggest deception Satan can use is to confuse the unlearned mind. God said his people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. You forget me and my word and I will forget you and your children. This is a pretty profound statement that holds so much truth. This is why this world is in the shape it is in today with so many religions claiming they are the true religion and only they will go to heaven and those who do not conform to their ways will go to hell.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Hosea 4:7 as they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame.
Hosea 4:8 they eat up the sin of my people and they set their heart on their iniquity.
Hosea 4:9 and there shall be, like people, like priest: and I will punish them for their ways, and reward them their doings.

Truth has now turned to deception of the carnal minds ways of thinking which produces mans interpretations, traditions of law and doctrine. Satan has such a foothold on religions and has side blinded all of us into believing whatever is taught behind the pulpit is truth because after all, they are the Priest, Rabbis, Pastors, etc. etc. and they should know what they are talking about because they are our teachers. Satan is pretty clever and the master of lies and deceit.

1Peter 5:8 be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil is seeking to whom he may devour.
1Peter 5:9 Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
1Peter 5:10 but the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you.

1Peter 4:11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles, (wisdom) of God, if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth, that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ to whom be praise and dominion forever and ever, Amen.

Revelation 22:18 for I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Revelation 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Jesus said, "Few there be that find it" Matthew 7:14. Few there be that find it, because few there be that seek it. What most have found is religion.

Only apostles have authority from Christ Matt 16:18-19 Matt 28:19 Jn 20:21-23 the so-called reformers were not apostles and no authority!

Where does the Bible you’re sole authority say they had any authority?

Or where does the Bible authorize a reformation?

What was reformed?

Thanks

Martin Luther was a Catholic monk. He discovered by reading the Bible that he was justified by faith alone. The Catholic church does not believe that people are saved by faith alone. They believe that it is by faith plus works. A group of Christians called "Reformers" broke away from the Catholic church and supported Martin Luther. It was a terrible blow to the Catholic church and to Satan.

It has nothing to do with Reformers or Catholics or whoever, but about those who are Christ own through the Spiritual rebirth from above that are given all power and authority to continue in the works of Christ.

Mat 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

Fire means empowerment from the Holy Spirit that gives us the power and authority to carry on the ministry of Christ and over the enemies that we will face along the way that want to silence us.

There are fourteen definitions of the word authority listed below found in the Strong's Exhausted Concordance in the Greek Dictionary. Each definition can be found in scripture to show you the strengths we do have by taking action on Gods word to unleash the Holy Spirit in our own life to be an effective servant to those who need Jesus in their lives to bring that faith that is Jesus which is the life changing promise of Gods word.

Greek definition: (exousia, ex-oo-see'-ah) freedom, influence, delegate, jurisdiction, ability, control, force, privilege, strength, liberty, mastery, competency, power and right

How do Christmas resolve an issues that they have the same verses for and a completely different meaning?

Spiritual baptism vs sacrament of baptism by water & the spirit? Thanks

Where does the Bible teach salvation by faith alone?
Salvation is by faith alone because it is by Christ alone.

Jesus is the one that reconciled us and the world unto God, 2 Corinthians 5:18-19.

We are not able to reconcile ourselves to God by works or obedience to the law because we are sinners, Paul said, "There is none righteous, no, not one" Romans 3:10. "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23. We are still here in our unredeemed Adamic bodies that are prone to sin, Romans 8:23.

If we are to be saved, salvation must come to us from outside of ourselves. Thank God that it has in the work and the person of Jesus Christ.

I agree but christcandcHis church are one! Acts 9:4 eph 5:32 Jn 15:4
The church is the necessary ark of salvation with the sacraments

I explained this in post #6. The topic is about religion and the spirit of antichrist, it is not about baptism. You are free to start a new topic on baptism so we do not derail this thread taking it off topic.

How do explain Matt 1:19 Lk 1:6 Lk 1:15 Lk 1:28 & Lk 1:30?
There are two kinds of righteousness. There is the righteousness of God and the righteousness of man. God does not accept the righteousness of man because it is tainted with sin. God only accepts the righteousness of Christ; we are accepted only in him and because of him.

Two responses:

It’s ironic that you say that Luther nailed his thesis (points to discuss) to the door and “thousands died” as if they dropped dead when it was the Catholics who killed tens of thousands over hundreds of years.

And second, only the Pope himself was thought to be an anti-christ since his response was to try to kill anyone who refused to come under his authority especially christians.

There was an uprising, like a war, over justification by faith.

My question is not about baptism!
I want to how we resolve this issue and both can quote Jn 8:32
Jn 3:5 was only an example
Matt 16:18 is another example some claim it’s Peter’s confession some it’s Peter’s person, how do we resolve it and come to the truth? Thanks

First let's read the full context as the truth will set you free if you believe in what Jesus has already said.

John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 8:33 They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
John 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
John 8:35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
John 8:37 I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.
John 8:38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.

The only issue is that many add their own interpretations according with what they have been indoctrinated in by their Pastors, Priest, Rabbi's etc. etc. to that which is simply written. Look what Jesus says, if you continue in my word then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free from all the various doctrines that are out there. Never be under the bondage of a man's teaching, but only believe in that which is already written as God's word is not hard to understand.

There are two kinds of righteousness. There is the righteousness of God and the righteousness of man. God does not accept the righteousness of man because it is tainted with sin. God only accepts the righteousness of Christ; we are accepted only in him and because of him.
So you choose to ignore scripture?
These are righteous in God’s sight!

Lk 1: 6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

You’re still not understanding me.

I said when two Christians have a conflict and see two different meanings in scripture what should be done resolve the issues so both can know the truth?
Examples are Jn 3:5 spirit baptism or water baptism
Matt 16:18 Peter’s person or Peter’s confession

What do you mean “never be under a man’s teaching”?
I will respond to this below
