Hi.
I need some assistance from others who look at religious life differently from the way I do.

Welcome to CFnet! :wave

Ethicsguy, this was a duplicate post of another thread that I moved here where it can be discussed. I edited this duplicate post in the New Member Forum, because it is in this place that we usually just welcome members. If you'd like to give a general greeting, that would be nice.

Let me know if it is unclear what I did.

I am religious but in a different (not better) way. I do not have the personal resources, as you most likely do, to obtain a personal relationship with Christ. I have done extensive graduate work, and study, in the area of comparative religion and ethics. The best description for my life is that I am an ethical humanist.
Since I do not look at the world in a similar way, I hope, by asking your observations and thoughts, I may get any pre-conceived assumptions closer to reality. I do not desire to assume my views are shared by everyone.
Overall, I enjoy exploring concepts and ideas that may lead to a more positive expanded ethical experience for all of us.

Hi Newhalist, I believe all religions are inclusive.
They all got it wrong.
Christianity, on the other hand, is not a true religion.
It is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, which makes it exclusive from all the others.

That is very true. But I need to know where Ethicsguy is coming from, so I asked him the question.
You would be surprised how many people believe that truth is relative and not absolute.
And the truth is that it doesn't matter what religion you practice, it does not change the truth about who God is and how he will act. Only a relationship with Jesus will get you to the truth. :D

I think it's good to approach the Scriptures, not to speculate, but in order to find the Savior, as 2 Timothy 3.15 says.
