Is Jesus ruling from Jerusalem on the throne of David right now? No, so I have to disagree.
Jesus is never ruling from Jerusalem. He is ruling from Heaven until his enemies are made a footstool for his feet. Jerusalem was destroyed and is now a very pagan city. Even when it was destroyed it was being called Sodom byJesus, not a desirable place to live let alone rule from. (By the way, the messiah sitting in Jerusalem and the jews ruling the world was what the Pharisees thought.)

Let me ask you a question to consider. Do you think it fits the character of Jesus to invade the earth with a superior army and establish a kingdom by force?

Yes I do, but He only is that harsh in special circumstances. The way I understand it, when Jesus comes, the world will be about to totally destroy everything and Jesus stops the war by destroying His enemies with the brightness of His coming! So God is powerful enough to accomplish His purpose without a shot being fired. However! These people He destroys with His Brightness and Glory must die and be taken out of the way. Then Jesus sets up in Israel and we go for 1000 years more. The Millenieal Reign they call it.

And why not? This will be when Israels borders are expanded to the size stated in scripture as the promised land. That has never happened to the extent that the borders should be at in human history yet. I expect Jesus will then upsize the borders of Israel at that time to fulfill those prophecies.

Look at Israel on Google maps. No wonder Syria don't like Israel because when Israel expands it's borders it will take a big chunk of Syria! Including Damascus I think. But Damascus is prophecyed to be nuked one night and never be inhabitable again. At least until Jesus comes, lol.

Damascus has never been destroyed. We are not in the Millenium. Damascus being destroyed doesn't happen during the Millenium, it happens before.

Rev 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

While here on earth before the return of Christ on the last day we receive five crowns for our faithfulness in the Lord: Life, Glory, Rejoicing, Righteousness, Incorruptible.

We will lay these crowns down before the feet of Christ as He says to us, Mat 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: Mat 25:21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Taken from the parable of the talents and the final judgement in Matthew 25.

Our rewards, whether good or bad, are still stored up in heaven and given to all when Christ returns and final judgements are then made.

But God has NEVER EVER done this in the history of the world. He might cauterize the terribly evil societies, but he doesn’t conquer them by force. I know that’s the theology but it describes something He’s never done. Man does this. God does not. He doesn’t conquer and then give rewards to his favorites and punish the wicked under his governmental ruling power.

Yes He has. What do you think the flood was? That was God alone. It may have been a cauterization but it was pert darn big! And if you think lightly of the force of water...?? Try going to the coastline of an ocean and go hang out on the big rocks. Many people underestimate the force of the ocean.

A far as I understand, God is currently shaking the earth and one of His favorite ways to shake up a region so they'll think about Him again (!!!) is by using the weather. This whole world is going off right now! Floods, Earthquakes, Hurricanes, landslides, Tornados, Volcanos. The weather is perfect large scale (weapon?) suitable for use to shaking the people up and scaring them.

So if you're was talking about force as in, guns and missles...God operates on a level above that. But it's still force! Almost all the Angels carry swords from what I hear. One Angel in one night, slew 187,000 Syrian (Assyrian) soldiers.

How many times in the OT did God send them to war? God is not against using force. He would rather not have to. He just wants to love His creation and be good to them (us).

Don't forget, God works through man to accomplish His purposes in many many cases.

Jesus didn’t march in and take over by power. I already said He wipes out evil groups. This is known. He never comes in a military invasion.

He didn’t rule them afterwards.

That may be and is true in history. That is my point. What He’s done in the past he will do again as needed. A military invasion by super spiritual bearings? Never!

When did he send angles to
kill men so He could rule those left?

It's in 2 Kings 19:35
And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the Lord went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.../

Oh, so it was 185,000 not 187,000. Still a lot.

What rule them after? You was talking about God doesn't use force. So I showed that He does. If you're talking about we are in the Millenium, then we are not in the Millenium because you are right, Jesus didn't rule them or set up His Kingdom in those times. The Millenium is in the future.

I already said that in wars between men God was involved. He did NOT rule the loosing side.

Not God. Men ruled before and after.
You was talking about God doesn't use force.
I said He never matches in as an invading supernatural army in order to take over the government (rule.)
So I showed that He does.
No, you didn’t. He didn’t start ruling by supernatural force and was afterwards King.

Jesus set up his kingdom but not by raw power. He is ruling from Heaven until his enemies become a footstool for his feet.

Marches in? Not yet, but Elisha saw the surrounding full of Chariots of fire and angelic beings in war garb! So He made a show of force.

He said, oh Lord, open his eyes that he can see...Lol.

If God had so much military style security in place around them back then (!) then I bet we are just saturated with spiritual beings around our planet that we can't see. Spiritual beings of both sides. Jesus said don't think I'm coming back with peace with me, I'll have a sword this time...

Oh, forgot.

2 Kings 6:14-16
And the report came back: “Elisha is at Dothan.” 14 So one night the king of Aram sent a great army with many chariots and horses to surround the city.

15 When the servant of the man of God got up early the next morning and went outside, there were troops, horses, and chariots everywhere. “Oh, sir, what will we do now?” the young man cried to Elisha.

16 “Don’t be afraid!” Elisha told him. “For there are more on our side than on theirs!” 17 Then Elisha prayed, “O Lord, open his eyes and let him see!” The Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire.../

It was a defensive operation, God didn't move in with an army to conquer and rule that time. Just to put them down to protect His people.

Edward and Dorothy Mae what does your conversation have to do with rewards, which is what this thread is all about. Even though I find that as being an interesting topic, could one of you start a new topic on this, thank you.

that is bit far out there we are not in the thousand year reign of Christ
Millennium means a thousand
A reward for obedience to his commands to you is authority. This can also be practiced in the authority to move elements in the spiritual world to change the course of nations. This is how he is ruling from Jerusalem. Those who fight with him (not against flesh and blood) are how he exercises power from “Jerusalem” or his church. The “holy city Jerusalem” is not pretty stones and streets but his church. God loves people, not buildings.

The “Millennium” is a term men coined. Jesus a 1000 years which means a long time, not 999+1.

This is obviously foreign to you. Those who mock a matter without seeing if these things be so will not be given understanding any time soon.

So be not surprised if many things of God remain a mystery to you. The choice to mock new input precludes God trusting you with any real understanding. He too doesn’t throw his pearls away.

Those who mock a matter without seeing
lady i am not mocking you. i am out and out saying this does not compute i can not agree nor will not { that is not mocking} . we are not in the Millennium as you claim which is a thousand years you have one thing that is correct {God loves people, not buildings}. your above description sounds like star wars
