Roe v. Wade Overturned: Now What?

Fetuses that are pig, dog, human…?
What??? Obviously you don't know what a fetus is. Here is a definition: an unborn or unhatched vertebrate especially after attaining the basic structural plan of its kind.

I think its important to distinguish between what is morally acceptable for Christians vs social policy. I vote for pro-choice candidates (US) in large part because...

fallen world. abortions happen, legal or not. legally available abortions make the practice safer for the women involved, especially those who come from working- and lower-class backgrounds. Historically, the more affluent classes have been able to get safe abortions, no matter legal status of abortion in the home state. its...everybody else who needs to worry, basically. -ugh-

the other issue? the US is a really...dangerous, often deadly society, especially for those who aren't in the middle or upper classes and for stigmatized groups. not a "victim of society" statement, just...poverty is deadlier in the US than in most other affluent, developed nations. there's also the larger issue, of an increasingly unequal society with damaged (sometimes destroyed) social bonds, lots of drugs and drink and guns and violence vs many other nations (affluent, capitalist, developed nations). so...yeah. I love America, and I definitely love the idea of American progress, etc., its just...

economically and socially, things are rough these days. have been for a while, I think. blah. so, in that context...perhaps leave abortion legal and available, and work on making social and economic changes so fewer women feel the need to go for an abortion? just a thought...

While it is interesting watching you avoid the obvious answer, you are avoiding it. Pregnant women have human fetuses in them, fetuses which have their own DNA and possibly their own blood type. In other words, they are human beings at the earliest stages of development. As such, they are unborn human persons, having the inherent value and dignity that come from being made in God’s image, and fully deserving of the full rights and protection afforded to all born humans.

Call it a medical procedure all you want, but just because an abortion is often performed by medical staff, doesn’t mean it isn’t murder. Anyone who participates in or encourages a woman to have an abortion is complicit and guilty of a grave sin.

Being pro-abortion will never be an acceptable Christian position.

According to you. IMHO that is just your opinion, nothing more. Is it Christian to discriminate in law against women simply because of their gender?

No, it is not my opinion. I showed you with Scripture and some of the earliest Christian history that abortion has never been acceptable for Christians, never mind being accepted by on the basis of modern culture's warped idea of rights. But you ignored those points, which seems to be typical of you in regards to this topic.

Should women have the right to kill innocent unborn babies? Should anyone have the right to murder someone else? That is what you are arguing for and is why it has absolutely nothing to do with a woman's rights. That is worldly and it is false.

Your opinion is so warped that it can't be taken seriously. Personal insults will get you nowhere, and shows your clear lack of Christian behavior.
Again, a dodge to avoid answering questions for which the answers are obvious. I get it, your wife has been involved in assisting with abortions, so cognitive dissonance won't allow you to admit she is complicit in the murder of unborn humans.

There was no personal insult and you are not one who should be complaining about insults. I simply pointed out the fact, which can be seen by anyone, that you are avoiding answering questions and addressing points which prove your position to be non-Christian. In three threads this is the case. You have failed to address arguments from scripture, and arguments from Christian history. But my "opinion" is fact and I have supported it.

Should women have the right to kill innocent unborn babies? Should anyone have the right to murder someone else?

ToS 1.3 use self control when discussing differences. Address the issue, not the person. Do not make derogatory personal remarks or you will be removed from the thread.

My wife has delivered thousands of live babies and aborted only those who had no chance of survival and/or would have proved fatal to the mother. All of those abortions were medically appropriate and legal.

The first argument that always arises against the Christian stance on abortion is “What about cases of rape and/or incest?” As horrible as it would be to become pregnant as a result of rape and/or incest, is the murder of a baby the answer? Two wrongs do not make a right. The child who is a result of rape/incest could be given in adoption to a loving family unable to have children on their own, or the child could be raised by its mother. Again, the baby is completely innocent and should not be punished for the evil acts of its father.

The second argument that usually arises against the Christian stance on abortion is “What about when the life of the mother is at risk?” Honestly, this is the most difficult question to answer on the issue of abortion. First, let’s remember that this situation is the reason behind less than one-tenth of one percent of the abortions done in the world today. Far more women have an abortion for convenience than women who have an abortion to save their own lives. Second, let’s remember that God is a God of miracles. He can preserve the life of a mother and a child despite all the medical odds being against it. Ultimately, though, this question can only be decided between a husband, wife, and God. Any couple facing this extremely difficult situation should pray to the Lord for wisdom (James 1:5) as to what He would have them to do.

Over 95 percent of the abortions performed today involve women who simply do not want to have a baby. Less than 5 percent of abortions are for the reasons of rape, incest, or the mother's health at risk. Even in the more difficult 5 percent of instances, abortion should never be the first option. The life of a human being in the womb is worth every effort to allow the child to be born.

But, only in the eyes of man, but not in the eyes of God in whom we are made in His image.

Abortion is not murder! I will not discuss the issue with anyone who takes that position.

This means you aren’t interested in truth. You just want to be right, based on your opinions. That is also not a Christian stance to take regarding truth.

What don't you understand about this: Abortion is not murder! I will not discuss the issue with anyone who takes that position. ???

Exodus 20:13 Thou shalt not kill.

Deuteronomy 5:17 Thou shalt not kill.

Mat 5:21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:

I'm not saying you are not a Christian, but as a Christian you can not ignore God's word.
