Wow. I see what you mean about the new trucks going to be too big for what you do.

Or.............. Are they planning to alter the job to include some hauling or potential installs?

No.just that we need trucks versus a car.we dig out meters.I have hauled off a bed full of brush to the storage yard a time or two .we have lids, water rods, milk crate, which is to stand on to get a read over the fence, shut off wrench, shovel, trowel, gardening hoes.and clippers and machete.binos.paint cans.and any tool we need to get the read. I have a plant to kill on the leasure square route.

One of the properties I bought, rehabbed completely (it was 100 years old, with only 2 owners prior to me) ... and had a personal library built by taking a small bedroom, removed the ceiling to open up into the attic ... added a skylight ... stained all the oak wood prior to the carpenter building the 2-story book cases, complete with attached ladders for easier access. I ended up living in that home for several years. To this day, I do wish I had kept that home!
Sounds gorgeous!

My local library now offers book downloads onto various e-readers. They also offer computers to use while at the library, free wi-fi, and more. They're moving forward, but it is a struggle, budget-wise. It's worse for libraries in small towns/villages. Their share of property taxes just barely covers utilities & staff (which is at bare-bones' status).

The third photo of Rantoul's library: it originally was the bowling alley at the former Chanute Air Force Base. When the base closed, a real estate group bought the bowling alley and specifically donated it for use as the replacement for the literally-falling-apart old library.
