I'm not sure if the base had an NCO club. The Patio restaurant was closed at this time. The rationing and economic issues was the reasoning to close it.

You should recognize the names, and people. This is a local church Honoring vets.Col Young mentioned the Vero Nas marker.I know it's location I will photo it .

Florida Theatre per rumours is being restored.it might be in one of the Videos for Tony Young. If so I will post.

That would be cool if the Florida Theatre truly is being restored.

Do you know if it was Deco in design inside?
I have heard that it is unique up stairs where the apartments are old store front.inside the theatre that is strong possibilty.I know who to ask as both He and his wife worked there and met there.I can see that it was art deco inside.it's not considered art deco btw by the Historical Society .It's Spanish Revival. Art Deco is native to my state an originates from Miami. CUBAN immigrants are the ones who started that.

Art Deco is Cuban? I thought it originated in France prior to the beginning of 1900.

I decided to do a search about Art Deco. I was trying to recall from Art History classes (taken while at university years ago) when Art Deco became a big enough influence to make the art style history books. Brain isn't fully engaged (I'm distracted by another issue), so an online search was necessary.

From the link below:

Some historians trace Deco's roots to the Universal Exposition of 1900.[8] After this show a group of artists established an informal collective known as La Société des artistes décorateurs (Society of Decorative Artists) to promote French crafts. Among them were Hector Guimard, Eugène Grasset, Raoul Lachenal, Paul Bellot, Maurice Dufrêne and Emile Decoeur. These artists are said to have influenced the principles of Art Deco.[9]
