You have prayed over the route that is on and i mentioned it,sonic.the gas station is gone and some of the trailer park is now called South Gate.

I remember the Sonic route.

It always reminds me of the drive-in hamburger chain!

Motor lodges, when kept up, were interesting places to stay along one's travelings.

Sonic drive-ins started in your area?

No.we didn't have a sonic until at most ten years ago.bleh.I like the genre but bleh ,real food.Mrs macs should go this route and serve their breakfast.

The last time I stopped at an Arbys, I was traveling... decided to take a break for a late lunch. I went inside, placed my order, then took the tray with my order to a table. Now mind you, I ordered an Arby's Junior. Well, that Junior had a fresh bun ... but no roast beef! I was laughing as I took the tray with the Junior on it .... the Assistant Manager didn't find it quite so comical, though. Later, as I was leaving, I heard that A.M. light into his employees...I heard at least one "You're fired!"

View attachment 9596 Vero Beach circa 1926.I never knew a restaurant was just south of the Florida Theatre. I always saw a Western Union sign there with an awning over that one lonely door. That explains those two empty water boxes in the alley way and two meter sockets.

Where those people are standing is what was called Liberty Park.A ww1 victory celebration occured there and possibly ww2.July 4th parades started there. It had an edifice like one I often photo from this time that served ice cream and cars would drive up and get ice cream.Dances were often here too. Now,there is nothing left .I haven't photographed what is now, but I have taken pics of the Bank, shown, and the theatre from that side of the road .In this image it's called ,and still is ,Seminole Avenue.
