What a driveway!

Thanks for my palm tree fix for the day :sohappy

Really? The trees lining that drive are Australia pines?? Amazing!
Yup.zoom in to see.Oslo was never that narrow to have an archway of those bur the old 510 to the beach was.

I've seen archways of oaks, or elms, or other sorts of trees, but not of Australia pines.

I love your area of Florida!

One of the most memorable lanes I traveled had a lovely boulevard that initially provided an almost archway. Then the rows of trees gradually widened from lane, and soon provided the following view to me:

Glamis.jpg

That's Glamis ('Glamz') Castle in Angus, Scotland. It was the childhood home of the late Queen Mother of England. She gave birth to her daughter Margaret at Glamis.

We surely don't see leafy archways over our roadways here in Illinois ... so sad.

Most of those are gone ,now.only those o have posted are still around.the recent one is hidden from the road by those trees.it wasn't ever visible from old dixie

Some country estates have pine trees planted as wind breaks along their drives ... also provides additional measure of privacy

Australian pines were used that way

That would be a great use for Australian pines .... besides, they look great!

Anymore, it's quite the challenge to get along with life with all the rules and regulations. Some of the rules are sensible... many are not.

The pines in questions aren't native to Florida. That's why they ban new planting as they modify soil.

That photo looks typical of the Midwest! (Make it 5 lanes for traffic, and you have Chicago...on the way to Wrigley Field :sohappy )
