:confused I'm having a tough time coming up with something that we haven't already done.

If anyone else has a good one and wants to jump in, go right ahead. I'm stumped for a new one as of now.

Epimenides said:
They fashinoed a tomb for thee, O holy and high one
The Cretans, always liars, evil beasts, idle bellies!
But thou art not dead: thou livest and abidest forever,
For in thee we live and move and have our being.

--Epimenides, Cretica

The author was speaking of Zeus whom he addressed as "O holy and high one" and was defending the thought that his god was eternal.

So the secular saying is, "The Cretans, always liars..."

Extra-points if you don't use Google or a search engine for this one! :thumbsup

I said in my haste, All men are liars. (Psalm 116:11)

There are more, I just lapse in my attedance on the forum...

How bout this one:

Secular expression: He's a "bad seed"

Cite the biblical source!

KJV 1 Peter 1:23. Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever.
