Cold rain, and then a couple of inches of snow here in New England. It's not unusual, it's what New England spring seasons are like. But, it does fool me even after all these years. Ever eager to have the cold, snowy weather over I almost always try to push it and get my garden planted too early. So, many of my herbs are now planted; rosemary, thyme, parsley, oregano, marjoram, and here's the mistake, basil. The basil can't take this cold, snowy weather, it's all black and withered now, and I'll have to replant in a couple of weeks.
Will I never learn?
