If the bible school combines all those college subjects or courses....it is very good. This is the reason I talked about little discomfort when the school does only bible stuff. (I think they are combined everywhere now)

Interesting question, and a lot of interesting responses.

I think that for most people, college (I not sure what that equates to in British terms) or university is part of a normal life.

I went to university, got my honours, then went back to do a postgraduate diploma, and I did some stupid stuff when I was an undergraduate. No lasting damage though, and my faith was strengthened by what I saw, experienced and learned about the world.

The vast majority of us are going to have to work at some point in our lives. Going to work with unbelieving colleagues and doing your CDP with all sorts of people isn't much different to studying alongside unbelieving students at college. It's part of the experiences of our wilderness pathway.

One thing I will say though is that it isn't good for a Christian to live in the same flat or apartment as non-Christians while at college. It brings all sorts of complications and moral questionings. It can be very tempting when your flatmate invites you to go to a barbecue in the park on a Lord's Day, instead of doing what you should be doing. Similarly, co-habiting with people who don't share your principles and moral values can be disconcerting. Your flatmate goes out for a big night and brings back a girl / boy for... well, you know what I'm talking about. Awkward!

Which was one of the reasons I fled from our dorm. Not just that alone: both some male and female fraks turned the dorm into a party floor. All those speakers kept disturbing me. Crazy music.

I've learned more about evolution from our mates here, lordkalvan and Barbarian, than I have in college. This doesn't change the fact that God is not a man, that He should lie.

If you don't have a good education you will have an extraordinarily higher likely hood of living in poverty or a marginal quality of life. I don't understand all the talk on evolution I never had one class on evolution in my engineering program

Well then the question arises - should we go to school? We could go on and on because a lot more than colleges are run by Satan. Not directly, obviously. Your local supermarket might be run by satan.

I think, like school, college is a great way to improve your understanding, and also gives you a great opportunity to spread the Word of Christ to many people.

I said the above 2.5 years ago. Now attending university, I have the same viewpoint.

Obviously there's a lot of liberal stuff on campus. That's to be expected. But there's also ample room for being great wittnesses for Christ, while improving our tertiary education, which hopefullyy prepares us for a good job, which in turn will hopefully provide us and our families with a stable income.

I know many people that had a fantastically fulfilling time while they were at uni/college, lots of learning and getting really active in their Christian group. I also know others who spent their 3 or 4 years there going to drunken sex parties.

University is what you make of it.
