Should Women Preach ?

whoa guys this thread is on women preachers not prosperity preachers....

when threads go off topic most often it implies they have run the coarse

But the woman preacher in question is a prosperity preacher.
I think it's fair that her whole ministry is exposed.
Does doing one thing good justify doing one thing bad.
It's not like she doesn't know what she is doing.
I think her ministry is long gone from being an asset to Christianity.

Should Women Preach ? is the title of the thread.

Define preach :poke

to preach the gospel G2097 ?

G2097
εὐαγγελίζω
euaggelizō
yoo-ang-ghel-id'-zo
From G2095 and G32; to announce good news (“evangelize”) especially the gospel: - declare, bring (declare, show) glad (good) tidings, preach (the gospel).

Of course wimin can.

No that's assault

G3730
ὁρμή
hormē
hor-may'
Of uncertain affinity; a violent impulse, that is, onset: - assault.

How do you know that?
.

I read it in the scriptures brother. The big one that comes to mind is at Sodom & Gomorrah, true enough He did destroy them but was swayed by mans words from 50 people down to 5, and I'm pretty sure that Moses talked the Lord into completely changing His mind about something somewhere. i don't have the reference offhand, but I'll see if I can find it.

I'm always forgetting something..

I Corinthians 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

tob..

:bricks

a salt ?? it looks like a rolling pin ! :)

p.s. women should speak whatever the Father tells them to speak. (according to Jesus' own words)

Are there scriptures that indicate God may have changed His mind regarding female teachers and man putting himself under their authority?

No. My point was that if God has ever changed His mind about anything, that it is possible that he wouldn't mind if women preach nowadays. It's not like it's a big critical issue or anything and I'm inclined to think that God would probably not be so technically strict about a woman who wanted to preach. If her heart was right with God, and it was the desire of her heart to preach...and it could even increase the harvest of souls...then tell me why she wouldn't or shouldn't be allowed to preach?

first always prayerfully see Scripture - God called / chose women for His Purpose all through history according to His Word.
then
also prayerfully and checking everything with Scripture, always, see how God chose women at different times and what they did, simply obeying Him, and He watched over His Word and always brought it to pass. (like Esther , by obeying God, saving the Jews).
admittedly awkward, and literally 'if you can stomach it' , watch some women today, if God permits, who are preaching or teaching on tv. check what they say with Scripture, and when possible see if they have trained any true disciples in the discipline of God's Word and Life in Jesus Christ.
...
yes 'if you can stomach it' is , well, a necessary observation due to the widespread corruption in men and women, not just women, and a lot of what is televised is abominable and quite directly opposed to Scripture and to God's Directions.
...
(that narrows it down a lot, to the few who remain faithful and true to God and to His Word).
...
even more narrow - if we don't do and don't learn to do what God says daily, live His Way according to His directions (like little children watching their Father and doing what He does, not like scholars studying then picking what they want to do! ),
then we won't be able to tell if someone else, man or woman, is 'right ruling' in their speaking/ teaching / preaching.....

a few women have been faithful teachers or given testimonies of God's Faithfulness and His Word. not many. a few.
the same is true of men. not many have been faithful and true. but a few have been. test everything. check Scripture prayerfully. there is no other provision in God's Plan other than by His Word.
