Exodus 4:22-23;
"Then you shall say to Pharaoh, thus says the Lord, Israel is my son, my first born. So I said to you, let my son go that he may serve me; but you have refused to let him go. Behold, I will kill your son, your first born".
This is a prophetic reference to Jesus Christ, as Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of God.

that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, "Out of Egypt I called My Son." Matthew 2:13-15
The man Israel who was born as Jacob, was the son of Isaac, not the son of God.
The only way for a person to become a son of God after the fall is by faith in Jesus Christ.
If you see some other way in scripture for the old testament saints to become sons of God other than through faith in Jesus Christ them please post it.
If the individual OT saints were sons of God, then why did the need a Savior.
Hosea 1:10;
"Yet the Israelites will be like the sand on the seashore, which cannot be measured or counted. In the place where it was said to them, you are not my people, they will be called the sons of the living God".
This was a future reference to The GENTILES, who would answer the call of the Gospel, and become sons of God through faith in Jesus Christ.
22 What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction,
23 and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory,
24 even us whom He called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?
25 As He says also in Hosea: "I will call them My people,
who were not My people, And her beloved, who was not beloved."
26 "And it shall come to pass in the place where it was said to them, 'You are not My people,' There they shall be called sons of the living God."
Romans 9:22-26
THE SHALL BE CALLED, indicating this would be in the future.
The only way for a person to become a son of God is by faith in Jesus Christ, or be directly created by God.
Matthew 5:9;
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
Amen! By faith in Jesus Christ, we have the right to BECOME sons of God.
This will occur when we are resurrected from the dead, and are sons of the resurrection...
35 But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage;
36 nor can they die anymore,
for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.
Luke 20:35-36
Luke 6:35;
"But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked".

You have yet to show where one single human being was called a son of God in the Old Testament.
Only Adam, as he was created directly by God.
