Who was Jesus before being born of Mary? Before Jesus was the Son, who was he?

He was/is God, the great I am.

Micah 5

Exo 3:13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?

How did we get from "sin" to this?

The power of sin is ignorance.

A long as satan can keep us in ignorance of what the Bible defines, as sin...he maintains his control over the Christian world....(people as individuals).

Satan is a master at diversion, introducing subjects to divert us away from discovering what the Lord wants us to understand.
