Bible Study So, Is Science Wrong On This?

I was just doing some research about it and to answer your question wondering,.. people can find out who you are and where you live by giving out your number especially if they have a caller ID. Anyways though, cute kitty,.. looks exactly like my Jessie. :)

No kidding!
They look like twins.
My cat is 12 years old.
His name is Pallina, which means little ball.
We named him this because he was sickly when
we got him...he was just about 5 weeks old and all
rolled up into a ball. I don't know how he made it,
but he did and he's my favorite cat of all time, and I've
always had one. He's sweet and loving and always looks
for me.

This is wonderful that everyone has kitty cats
Poor me, I don't have any
I'm gonna cry...............

I feel exactly the same way about a dog,.. but anyways we're getting WAY off topic lol so,... :topic

I feel the Bible was very plain in saying that God created the Earth and all the creatures in 7 days. I don't believe this would be divided into days and say what he did each day if it signified something else. It tells us about creatures of the air, of the land, and of the sea. I don't feel there is any need to exclude dinosaurs from that list.

Luminous,

If day means what you conclude in Genesis 1, what is the meaning of 'day' in Gen 2:2 (NIV). For how long did God rest after he created on the 6 days?

How do you explain a serpent that could speak?

wondering,

Just like explaining Balaam's talking donkey, 'Then the Lord opened the donkey’s mouth, and it said to Balaam, “What have I done to you to make you beat me these three times?"' (Num 22:28 NIV)

An irrelevant question. You want find any expert in Hebrew who will say that genesis wasn't written to impart any meaning other than a literal 6 days of creation.

While you may decide to give him a meaning of age you still have the problem of the ten commandments which say, in Six days God created the universe and rested on the more reasonable than othersseventh. If you means age we are to work for six ages, csix thousand or six million years before resting for the same yom.

What you believe is up to you, only some beliefs are more reasonable than others.

Please note, the references to God resting are all in the past tense, meaning after that token day he stopped resting.

In Genesis 1, we see that a "day" is clearly divided by "morning"/"daylight" and "evening"/"night". The sun rises in the morning and sets at night, and that's probably the way it has always been. This helps us understand that it is referring to literal 24 hour days.

Jumping forward to when God rested on the 7th day, the meaning of "day" has not changed as it has already been clarified before as morning to night as he has separated them. Why would the meaning of day change in Genesis 2:2 after it has already been stated in 1? That wouldn't make sense.

Day in Gen 1 and Gen 2 is very clearly a 24 hour day/night cycle. And for this reason we have a 7 day week with 6 days for work and a day for rest. It has always been this way.

It is also evidenced by "scientific" discovery that man and dinosaurs coexisted, because human footprints have been found in dinosaur footprints in the fossil record. And in Job, God describes two dinosaurs that Job would have recognized (this may have been after the Flood, as most of the dinosaurs, especially the young, would have fit on the Ark).

Science is definitely wrong on the timescale that separates dinosaurs and humans by any period of time at all.

Seriously? You really do have other cats with those names? :lol
no, I didn't mean to insinuate that
But when I named him Alvin, I was thinking of the chipmonks
These cats are half siamese, both with blue eyes and Alvin is crosseyed, all traits of a siamese cat.

The chipmonks?? Never heard of them before. What kind of songs do they sing?? Contemporary Christian music or traditional hymns?
