(Some) OSASers must believe that God created human robots!

We agree again.
What is your interpretation of the next two verses? How do you see they relate to verses 4-11?
YLT
Heb 6:7 For earth, that is drinking in the rain many times coming upon it, and is bringing forth herbs fit for those because of whom also it is dressed, doth partake of blessing from God,
Heb 6:8 and that which is bearing thorns and briers is disapproved of, and nigh to cursing, whose end is for burning;
I'm not a big fan of the YLT, but this is basically saying the same thing Jesus did in Luke 8:1-15
According to the prophetic imagery of the Old Testament, the ground is God’s people (Is. 5:1–7), and the rain falling on it is the Word (Is. 55:10, 11) or the Spirit of God (Is. 44:3, 4). The unproductive field is destroyed (Is. 5:4–6).

If you're not saved you're not a believer, it is a simple as that.

That is simple. I can agree with that. So Heb 6:4-6 is speaking about christians who called themselves christian but were never really born again. Fair enough.

(who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift) both being metaphors should give us a hint too.

The one thing that really baffles me in Heb 6:4-6, is that they say it's impossible to be brought back to repentance.

Then Jesus says here in Luke 18:27 Jesus replied, "What is impossible with man is possible with God."

Unless your heart stops beating, isn't it always possible to repent of your sins and turn to God again?

You guys are too funny. NO that's not right and I'm sure you know that. There is no metaphorical language being used in Heb 6:4-6
I can't make you see it if you won't let go of your RT bias. Luke is describing Christians. Luke is not equivocating. Luke does not have to use the wording you want because He was the one inspired. Sadly you can't or won't see that.

Your lack of understanding stems from your eisegetical POV of this scripture. It does not say what you think it says from your dogmatic POV so you can't reconcile it without changing your POV. The reason it is impossible is because they have already become apostate. That is not the same as being in a back slidden state. It just shows that God will NOT force anyone to believe, but that would be another point on the TULIP and would take this thread off course.

Hi Stan. Define (christian) here. When you say Luke is describing a christian, what is Luke's definition of a christian.
The issue here is OSAS, once SAVED always SAVED. If you don't know what saved is then you shouldn't be debating it. I'm pretty sure you do know, so your question is obviously motivated to bring more obfuscation to the issue. Sorry but I'm not biting. I may be relatively new on this site, but not to forums and definitely not to issues of this nature. Unless you have some sincere queries, you have been properly instructed in this regard.

Being saved is by His grace and through our faith alone. OSAS is truth.

Nah I'm just trying to understand what you believe. So you suggest a person can't lose their salvation but they can walk away right ? Are Ananais and Sapphira saved ?

I believe they were.

So do you mean they were saved or are saved ?
You should know this, so I fail to understand why this would be an issue to you, but anyone who dies saved is forever saved, and when Jesus returns they will receive their inheritance, Eternal Life.

I'm wondering though because you say a person can walk away from their faith and give up salvation. How do you know they are saved ?
Do you also say Judas is saved or walked away from salvation and if so how is he different than Ananais and Sapphira ?

Come on agua...I've addressed all of this in this thread.

Could you answer the questions again here please so that I can fully understand what you mean ?

1. How do you know Ananais and Sapphira are saved and didn't walk away from their salvation ?
2. Do you say Judas is saved or walked away from his salvation ?
3. If Judas is saved how do you know ?

If you can't answer it's ok just say "I don't know "

I can see that you are not sure.

Personally I believe they were saved.

Ok. Why do you believe they are saved ?

Oh I should get you to clarify because you say "were" saved. Do you believed they "are" saved. :D

I'm guessing this may go on for a bit but it's entertaining. I'm watching a fictional movie at the same time.

Why was Peter not sifted as wheat?

Why did Satan have the right to enter Judas?
