God has never failed anyone one time who has trusted ad obeyed him.
I hear lots of stories about horrible things happening to good Christians, but their is nobody good, but one, and good is not what moves mountains.
I lost my trucking job (my fault, not obeying the holy Spirit and did something opposite of what I knew inside) got behind on car payment, so bank sends letters about wanting the car and fees.
Hearing God all the time is good. Not good when those around you know that and bug you constantly, like the wife. The wife was really concerned about those bank letters.
"Did God say anything about our car?"
Not heard a word from him about it honey.
(Next day)
"Has God told you what to do about the car, did he say we should call them or something?"
Nope, I asked if I should call, but he did not say a thing.
(Next day)
"The man is head of the house, why has God not spoke to you about the car?"
Sigh, yes I heard God, he said I'll supply all your needs according to his riches and glory. More than enough there to cover a car payment. Now stop taking thought!!!
"You just quoted a scripture, are you sure you have not heard God on what we should do,?"
Honey, God said he would supply. It's already taken care of. It's settled. Not a problem.
A week goes by and we get a letter in the mail from the bank. In the envelope is our title and a thank you letter for doing business with them. We have no idea who our how our balance on the car was paid. We never mention any need to anyone but God. This was just 3 weeks ago from this post date.
Now if you want testimonies, taking thought (Matt 6:28-34) and worry (be careful for nothing kjv) (Phi 4:6) is one way not to get them. Fear cost Job, Peter walking on the water and will cost us.
Making needs known is leaning to your understanding and making people your source. It should not be if so and so don't come through, then it's God's turn. It should always be God's turn. That is a curse, the opposite of the blessing.
Jer 17:5 kjva Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
Get your scriptures out and speak them and meditate on them. If your not sure, use my stand by scripture.
Psa 138:8 kjva The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.
Long enough......
Mike.
