[ Testimony ] Testimonies Of Any And All...

Let's post some testimonies here. Any type testimonies, divine help from the Lord whether by His Spirit, Angels, visitations, whatever happened. let's hear it! I love testimonies! I'll start off with a testimony of an Angelic visitation which happened to me. I didn't realize that he was an Angel at first, but there's no other answer to explain what happened, he had to be an Angel...

I am self employed and business was slow. Real slow. I was behind in my rent two months (2000 total). I also had a shut of notice for 300 for my utilities. I thought to have a garage sale and help raise money that way. So I did. I set up in the garage so I could keep it ongoing and open or close the garage sale with the click of a switch. It was a slow garage sale day and getting later in the evening. Then my landlord drives in and gives me eviction papers. Sorry Ed, I like you but I need the money, my hand is forced. Great.

So he left and I sat down on the couch in the garage and went into prayer for help. I finished praying and it was pretty much dusk so I closed it up and went back into the house. I barely got sat down in my house when my phone rang. Hi, I seen your ad for garage sale on CL and want to come see what you have, but I always work until later, so is it ok if I come by after work to have a look see? I thought sure, why not. All I'd have to do is to open the garage door. So a little over an hour later he comes over. Good looking and well groomed man in a nice pickup truck, very well spoken. I open the garage door and he comes in and looks at me and asks, how much do you need? (What?) What's he mean by that? I largely ignored his question because of the nature of the question. He's a garage saler. I started giving him a rundown of items I had for sale, that I thought he may be interested in as a man, and he interrupts me to ask "how much do you need?"
(What?!) Then he says, how much for everything on that table over there? (I had two 4x8 tables filled with household brick a brack from a 26 yr marriage). So I go into salesman mode and start discussing items on the table, picking things up and talking about them, handing them to him so he can check them out. It was weird, he didn't seem interested in them. He would be polite and take the item, hardly glance at it, set it down and ask me again, how much do you need? How much for everything on the table? How about $1900?

I couldn't understand what was going on. this guy was not acting like your average garage saler and hardly had any interest in the actual items. In my pause of trying to get a handle on the interaction, he said, Well how about $2400? (What?!) Garage salers try to talk you down, not up. I thought he was joking about the 2400, so before he has a chance to deliver the punch line, I said ok fine. I waited for the punch line and he pulls out a wad of 100 dollar bills and starts counting them out, 24 of them. I didn't know what was going on but I knew I made a sale. I asked if he wanted help boxing it all up and loading it onto his truck. he said sure. he just paid for all the stuff on the table (too much in fact) and as we're boxing it up, he starts setting stuff back on the table and says, I wont need that, you can keep that, and so forth. He set a lot of stuff back down. Doing mental calculations, I realized that he was (at least) paying me full price for the items he was taking and perhaps more. But I was going with the flow. Full original price for used items with years of service on them already, but I needed the money and he was agreeable so we loaded it up. he shook my hand and drove off. I wandered back into the house in a daze, reacting to what had just happened.

This guy was not some idiot with more money than brains. he was very well spoken and intelligent and it showed. Nor was he someone who buys/sells for a living. i know this because he left a lot of stuff behind that he could have taken. So what's the deal? Who was this guy? ...and then it hit me. He had to be a ministering Angel, come to help. It's the only answer that would explain how he talked to me.

So within two hours of praying for help, I had all of my back rent and utility money...and an extra 100 for groceries. Praise the Lord!! Wow.

Is that cool or what?!!! :sohappy

The Lord knows I like coffee. He brought me some coffee one day. I had been in an auto accident back in '09 and broke my back in two places, so my activity level is nowhere near what it used to be. Too much pain. So I spend a lot of time at home. The good side of this is that I now have a lot more time for studying and growing closer to God. As I did, I noticed that something seemed to be missing from my life. I wasn't doing anything for the Lord. I desire to be a doer over a hearer of the word. I asked the Lord one morning if He would give me something to do for Him that I can do from home and in the state I am in. I finished praying and went upstairs for more coffee. Dangit, the last 1/2 pot of coffee, and me with no money to go get more. I dismissed this out of my mind and told myself, the Lord will take care of me.

I go back downstairs and in a little while my phone rings. It's a buddy of mine that I haven't seen in a few years, and he says, Ed, if you're not too busy, would it be ok if I came by to visit and ask you some questions about God? Ding! the lightbulb goes on and I immediately realize that this is the Lord answering my prayer about being able to do something for Him. Praise God!!

While waiting for him to come over, I went up for another cup of coffee. Last cup, time to make new pot, but I'm out. I felt kind of bad that I would have no coffee to offer my buddy a cup while he was here. Oh well, things happen. Ding dong, he arrives at my house, and hands me a pound of upgrade coffee. I know you like coffee, and this is real good so I thought I'd bring you some... I didn't tell him that I was out of coffee, he just had it with him.

So I got to witness to him and make the man a cup of coffee, lol. Some may p'shaw this as coincidence, but I don't care. This was obviously the Lord answering my prayer and I know it. I know that a pound of coffee is next to nothing but I see something bigger here.

What's the difference between a minor miracle and a major miracle? Perception. How cool is that?! The Lord delivered coffee to my door. The Lord delivered kingdom work to my door. Super cool! Praise the Lord!!

One night, I dreamed that I was in a home, in my room, (although it didn't look like my real life room) I was going to bed and shut my window.
Then, all of a sudden, I hear the loudest thunder I have ever heard in my life. It was so loud it shook and slammed the window open. Then, a moment later, I saw a bright light coming from the north, approaching me. I woke up, and it was four in the morning. Absolutely dark out.

The thunder reminded me that which God spoke to the Israel by thundering on a mountain and it made them cower in fear. That's how I felt when I heard it. The bright light? I believe it was Jesus walking towards me. :)

I wish i could think of an awesome testimony like the two of you, mine are not that long or huge. It just been all of the little things. Like finding 20 dollars when we need it, or 28 dollar can days. Over the past two years. One time (just a couple of months ago) when i was brushing my teeth, i pondered upon the fact that God was going to buy jim and i a boat to be livaboards, and minister. And the boat that we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God is directing us to is a boat owned by a doctor..i said to God, a doctors boat huh? He said yes it is the sick that need a doctor, not the well.

Ya know after i wrote what i did, i felt as if i had said that God was less important, because my testimonies do not take much ot write. For which i repented....cuz in my heart, they are huge! The first time we found a twenty dollar bill on the ground i started crying, and just wanted to get on my knees thanking Him. But it was not the right time. God in His graciousness decided to show us how to trust Him, by the little things. Wonderful Blessings to us though.

I remember one time, that i had entered a sweepstakes at the local grocery store, and as God helped me to decide which to believe for..when i decided on the gift card for 500$, He gave me such peace that i would have it. For christmas i didn't win the gift card, but got a check in the mail, from a relative instead. God is definitely sooooooo good and trust worthy!

When my mom was in her late twenties she prayed to God for some dish towels because we needed new ones. A week later my Grandma sent my mom a big box of towels! :)

That's awesome! Our big one is going to be God buying us a 47 ft trawler to live on. So we can travel the waterways ministering. But i'm sure that is not all that He has in store for us.
Thank you Angel for sharing your towels!

I guess it would be like a traveling church. We go where God leads, stay as long as we are told, and just make friends sharing the gospel with whomever God says to and whomever will listen. I have seen us having a church service in the middle of the water with chars all set up on the bow (front) of the boat. And we dream of just being able to help in any way we are needed, to whoever needs, in whatever way is needed. Like cooking a meal, taking someone fishing, ummm helping pay for towing someone in, or for a repair that maybe they cannot afford. Stuff that can show the Love and goodness of God with others. All Holy Spirit directed. We see us traveling to the bahamas, and all around the intracoastal water ways. Which is a route that a lot of people who like to sail or cruise travel, from florida to mass.
Really honestly, we just are open to wherever the Holy Spirit leads, to do what He wants done.
Thanks for asking. :) i can see it in my head just have never put it to paper or tablet in this case :)
Blessings to you Angel

That is incredible Edward! I love both testimonies!

Thank you sister. :)

The little blessings are just as special as big ones. Same God, same power. Our wonderful Lord has answered quite a few prayers for me.

Here's a really cool testimony. About 10 yrs back, I received a nice new NIV bible from a friend & brother in Christ as a gift. He told me that he got the NIV bible because it's easier to understand than others, plus when we study together we'd have the same bible because that's what he has too. It's nice, leather bound and large print. It's the biggest bible I own (unless I put BibleGateway on my big screen tv that I use as a 2nd monitor, lol.). We studied together on and off for quite awhile. He got married and started having kids and stuff so didn't come around much after awhile. He's a good brother.

A couple years later another friend came visiting, Brother Dave! When he seen my NIV he started telling me it was a bad version, is missing a lot of verses and stuff so KJV is better. We even looked up quite a few verses that are really MIA in the NIV.

Awhile back here on this board there was a thread about the NIV, and I think I mentioned that it has missing verses, and someone asked me to post a couple of these verses that are missing from the NIV. Sure, glad to help a brother out and also back up what I say. I could remember one of them so looked it up in my NIV, and there it was. Whoa. Either I forgot the reference verse or something so I googled it. Wow, there's a lot of missing verses in the NIV as compared with the KJV. So I started looking them up so I could post them for the inquiring member. Uh-oh...all the verses are there and now my head was spinning because me and brother Dave looked up quite a few of them, and he showed me that they were missing (I have KJV bibles too).

So I'm sitting there feeling like an idiot because I had said something on the board, was asked for source verse(s), and couldn't do it because they're in there! I know they was not in there before. What's going on?! Eventually I closed my NIV bible and sat it down on the table and leaned back in my chair to think about this. And then I seen it. I focused on the spine of the book and there it was in gold lettering..."NKJV"

What?! So that explains why the missing verses are in this bible, it's a NKJV. But it was NIV before! There's two solid witnesses besides me, brothers Dave and Richard. There is no way that I got it mixed up with another bible or something like that, because I don't have another bible like that.

So without my knowledge, or desire or anything, the Lord just decided to supernaturally change my NIV bible into a NKJV bible. I still have no idea why He did that. I have to assume that the Lord does not want me reading the NIV...and that He does want me reading the NKJV. What else could I take away from this?

That's probably the strangest testimony I have, yet it's perhaps one of the coolest. God gave me a new bible, wow! It still had my underlines and margin notes in it though, lol. I've never heard of something like this happening to anyone else. Praise God!

I just googled to find the verses, and they are missing from the nlt also.....what a trip, i would've never known if you had not said something.

There are some that say all angels are men, well, here's my encounter with a female angel.

It was at a time in my walk with the Lord, as a babe in Christ, when what I was hearing from the pulpit didn't line up with what I was hearing on Christian radio, the church had just gone through a split and we were tossed out, we thought we were so blessed, then we started fighting over the name for "our" church, ...in desperation I fired off a prayer, "Father, please place me in the church that you have for me that doesn't fight all of the time!"

Within a week a job opportunity came up, but it was 9 hours away, ...I was very interested, we lived in a small town and one day at the commercial center there was a homeless lady sitting there, the Lord impressed on my heart to buy her a hot meal, afterwards we went home and I thought of her out in the cold, so I went back and found her and asked her if she would like to come and stay at my house while I was gone for a week to check out the new job. She accepted so we loaded her stuff into my pickup and I took her home, ...when my close friend heard what I was doing he freaked (we had agreed he would feed my cat while we were gone), said she would steal everything in my house, but I had peace about it.

A couple of days later he called me, said he had been going by to check on her, said everything was normal, said she had cleaned the house, it was spotless, and....., she and Katy were friends (my Katy detested women, bit or clawed every female that came in the house), a couple of days later he called me again and said the lady was gone. I came home in two days and was amazed, if was as if my house had been freshly painted (but it hadn't), everything was soooo clean, went to church on Sunday and here is what my friend told me that morning, ...brother, I went looking for the lady, couldn't find her anywhere in town, I even went to the police (he has some friends there), and asked them about the homeless lady in the commercial center, they said what homeless lady, there isn't any homeless in the center, hasn't been in as far back as they can remember, their patrol rounds take them there every two hours and there isn't any and hasn't been any homeless there in years!

Sermon topic that Sunday, brotherly love, Heb 13:1, Hebrews chapter 13, verse 2,

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Heb 13:2

I turned to look at my friend at the same moment he turned to look at me.

My second experience;

I had bought a '65 Mustang and was in the process of restoring it, we had finished the interior and had warmed up the engine, however horsepower makes heat and the two core radiator needed to be replaced with a three core that I hadn't got around to doing, there is a small mountain between our town and the next major city, the 'stang always heated up on the climb, but there was water at the top, I would open the radiator drain and pour cold water in while the engine was running, cooling her right down.

One time, after the bag lady experience, we were stopped cooling down the 'stang and a little old lady drove up in a pristine '70 Chevy Nova (this was in '88), it was as if it had just come off of the showroom floor, she was very sweet and grandmotherly, asked me if I needed any help, I was admiring her car, even had that new car smell, she asked me again if I needed any help, this snapped me out of my revery of admiring her car and replied everything was fine, she drove away and left me standing there looking at the car, ...kinda chuckling with the thought of what could she have done to help me when Heb 13:2 passed through my mind........,
stupid me, wonder what she would of done if I had said yes, ...and all these years I still wonder if it was the same angel that I took into my home.

My first church had some doctrinal problems and didn't really believe the Holy Spirit was that active today, ...from those two experiences I started to truly believe there wasn't anything impossible for God to do and started me believing in the Word and trusting on the Word of the Bible, which has led me to walk in faith in what Father has called me to do, ....for the last 24 years I have lived 24/7, moment by moment in faith in/for His taking care of me, I can say, He is faithful, ...even when I'm not.

All praise and glory to the King of kings and the Lord of lords, my Jesus Christ!

Testimony 1.
One day, before I knew God in 1992-93 I believe. Two of my daughter’s and I were driving back home down interstate 805 in San Diego, coming up on the 8 freeway entrance but far from it.
I had an old Volkswagen with big black mirrors that hung out far. I also had bad breaks that I could not afford to fix. So to compensate, I would stay far back from the cars ahead of me, and had to pump my brakes 4-5 times to get some stopping power.
We were just driving along singing to Ozzy Osborn when we came around a slight turn and when I could see I looked and seen that all traffic was stopped and backed up for a Loooonnnnng way.
We were in the lane next to the fast lane and no where to turn, nor no time to pump my brakes.
I remember thinking that we either slam into the back of the car in front of us, and we all are dead, even those in the car in front of us and who knows who else. But instantly I had another thought, and for some reason I did not hesitate at all, it was to go to my left side drive in between the lane that I was in, and the fast lane, between two lanes of cars the complete length, which was a long way at least a ¼ of a mile and Amazingly, we did not hit a thing!
How could I have done such a thing going at Any speed, let alone freeway speed? And how is it that I hit nothing, even with my big mirrors? Nobody in lanes are perfectly to one side or the other, they are staggered and I am no Mario Andrade. The answer is, that it was not me driving, it had to be a miracle of God!
None of us can remember what happened from the time we entered in between the lanes of cars and I only remember coming out the other end, where a man was standing to the right when we came out. He had had a motorcycle accident in which a small piece of his bike or something was in my path, I had no choice but to run over as we came out and he had a look on his face as we whizzed by as if to say What are you doing?
I did not stop, I was so embarrassed and shocked that I just kept going. No need to stop now.
Testimony 2.
Another time, after I had come to know God, around 2004 or so. I was busy getting some boxes ready for the post office. It was a beautiful sunny day. Earlier in the day, I had prayed and I asked God if I could see Him.
I returned to my work and forgot all about what I had asked. I was just finishing up with my boxes and I heard this tap,…tap tap on my hallway skylight. I thought what is that? It can’t be hail because it is a perfectly sunny day.
All of a sudden it became very loud as it began to rain hail. So I ran to my back bedroom window and looked out, the hail was so thick that I could not see anything and then I remembered asking God to show Himself to me, so I said Is that you God? Instantly, there was 1 thunder over my house and 1 lightning bolt. I knew then, that it was!
The sun came back out right away, and I opened my door to take my boxes and my porch was covered in hail like snow. When I got to the post office, I asked what they thought of the sudden hail, and they said, we never seen any hail.
A few days later, I was talking to my next door neighbor who brought the hail up, so it must have only been there. Which again confirmed to me, that it was indeed God.
Testimony 3.
Another time,, when one of my granddaughter’s had been born premature. My Son’s wife returned to work and found a day care to take care of Anabella. One day the day care provider asked my son if perhaps she was a special eds child because she couldn’t even turn over or hold things or anything that a 7-8 month old should be doing. My son was so upset but he never mentioned it to me, but to my mother, whom told me what he had said.
I prayed to God that He would heal Anabella and help her to grow normally. A few weeks later, we all got together to have a bbq, When we arrived at my daughter’s house, they had all gone down the street to a neighbor’s pool. My daughter in law was coming back with Anabella and we laid out a blanket and sat down on it. She put Anabella on the blanket and all of a sudden began to exclaim with excitement, Look! Anabella is turning over, and she began to grasp at things. She said, you don’t understand, she has not been able to do any of these things! My daughter in law was in Awe at her child doing all the things that children her age do, and she couldn’t stop being amazed. I kept watching her, however the rest were not so amazed for these were normal actions all babies do so they just kept on talking as if nothing happened.
But I knew what had happened , GOD happened!
I was happy seeing my daughter in laws joy at her daughters miraculous change…. But my joy turned to sadness when I realized, that I failed God that day, because I did not even testify to them that it was He who answered my prayer for Anabella, and brought about her physical growth up to date. I did not give God His glory that day, but have tried to make sure that they all know it now, but it is not as effective as when the miracle happens.
These are just a few testimonies of God’s greatness in my life. I have others that are even greater. But another time.
