The Angel Thread...

Parts 2 & 3. I like Chuck. Ah, it was the prince from the kingdom of Persia which delayed Gabriel from going to Daniel. Chuck just reminded me, I'm watching it again. I can no longer edit the post I said that in. :)

I posted part two twice. Glad I caught it.

I do believe that we have an invisible war going on all around us.Good vs.Evil.We just can not see it because they are in a different dimension.

I believe the Bible says that we as Saints will help judge the angels.

I've read that also. Don't have the scripture offhand but I know of what you speak and I do believe that it will be us (or some of us?). I'm not sure how we will do this, but if scripture says it, I believe it. So we'll probably get a download of revelation at the time of translation.

Ephesians 6: "We wrestle not against flesh and blood..." But we also by God's grace have the resources of 'the whole armor of God', by which to stand.

Blessings.

"What does it mean that we will judge angels?"

Answer:
In his letter to the church in Corinth, the apostle Paul tells us that believers will not only judge the world, but also judge angels: “Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world ... Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more, then, matters pertaining to this life” (1 Corinthians 6:2-3). Scripture teaches that the fallen angels will be judged by God (Isaiah 24:21-22; 2 Peter 2:4; Jude 1:6; Revelation 21:10). But what does Paul mean when he says the saints will also judge angels?

What we can surmise from this 1 Corinthians passage is that we, as God’s children, will be given a higher position than the angels. We’re not only created in God’s image, but redeemed by Christ (Galatians 3:13; 1 Peter 2:9; Luke 1:68; Ephesians 1:7). Angels are not created in God’s image and are not redeemed by Christ (Hebrews 1:14; 2:16). Also, God sends His angels to serve His saints, i.e., those who are to inherit eternal life (Hebrews 1:14; see also Psalm 34:7; Psalm 91:11).

Additionally, we know that the Greek word for “judge,” krino, also means “to rule or govern.” This strongly implies that we will have authority over the holy angels, for they have no sin for which to be “judged” in the sense of “condemned.” Most likely, the meaning of this passage is that believers in heaven will take part in the judgment of the fallen angels and exercise some authority over the holy angels. Christ has been exalted above all the angels (see Ephesians 1:20-23), and it seems reasonable that those who are in Him and made in His likeness (Romans 8:29; 1 Corinthians 15:49; Ephesians 4:24; 1 John 3:2) will share in His authority, including His authority over the angels (Matthew 19:28; 2 Timothy 2:12; Revelation 20:4).

I agree with you. I also believe that the spiritual dimension is more real than our natural dimension. I think that at some point in a believers walk, the Lord let's us begin to see into the spiritual dimension. Perhaps after the baptism of the Spirit? I'm not sure when, but when we draw closer to the Lord at some point.

But would we really want to see into this Spiritual dimension? It might be very frightening.

I agree generally about the spiritual dimension, although I also believe that the baptism of the Spirit (of which Paul speaks to the Corinthians) occurred at Pentecost, into the good of which every believer comes at the moment of the new birth.

I have always thought that Jesus would have an angel escort us to heaven in the rapture to make sure we get to Him safely. That sounds like Jesus. :)

Now that's interesting. I agree that the Angels are sinless, for there is no sin in heaven, and we know that Angels go before the throne etc., so what will we judge? How good they do their jobs? Give raises? I don't know. I guess it would have to be something like that if they are sinless. Also...Angels are not created in Gods image? I have never heard this before. Actually, I've never even really thought about it. Could you expound a little on that for me?

Angels are not redeemed, whereas Christians are.
Also, in 1 Corinthians 11 Paul says the angels observe local church order.

I don't get it brother. I just chapter 11 and the only reference I seen about Angels was this:

1 Corinthians 11:10
10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels./(KJV)

I don't see the connection. Admittedly, I don't really understand this verse. stinkeye

I think part of the sense is that gathered believers are redeemed and in testimony for their Lord and head, while angels are messengers and facilitators, rather than the recipients of redeeming grace. Therefore it is a privilege of the gathered redeemed to bear witness before the silent and invisible angelic observers. Or something like this.

Blessings.

You got that out of verse 10? :thinking

mmmm, why not? I would want to. We fight not against flesh and blood, so to get a peek at the real deal would have to be very enlightening.

John 16:33
33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world./(KJV)

We have on our side the most powerful God of any that the world has ever seen or conceived. He will not leave us or forsake us, He will not put on us more than we can bear. He will be with us. He has already won. We have the authority of any entity in existence in the name of Jesus Christ. He is more than powerful, he is GOD. With God on our side, who can stand against us?!

One utterance...Lord Jesus, Help! :gavel

This is all scripture sister. I know you stand on the Word or wont believe it...So...do you believe it? :wink

I see interpretation as involving deduction, often: asking the question: "What may we deduce about the nature of angels observing?"

Sure. I'll buy that. Makes sense to me brother. I just uh...haven't been able to deduce like you, Watson, lol. I'll ponder that. Some stuff clicks for me, and some stuff has to be fitted together. Interesting though.

It is, we can't see you but feel your presence here. ;)

That is exciting. I would've been out on the back porch talking to him and asking for him to show himsellf and talk to me. :)
When I moved into this place, I (knowing about guardian Angels and such) walked the perimeter of the property and placed by prayer Angels in different spots for protection. I believe they're there, though some may not, and that's ok, because it sure didn't hurt to do so. Did you ever talk to friend later and ask what it looked like?

Oh yeah, inquiring minds wanted to know, my daughters. I didn't even tell Lexy, she wasn't home when this occurred. See really strange.
She said, he, was larger man size like maybe a little over or around 6ft and broad, no wings, did have a sword, long, white, tunic like clothes. She didn't notice his feet. He looked right at her when she came up the walk and stairs. She did not stop to converse, she was a little shaken I think but calm.

Thank you so much sister! That means a lot to me. :) I learned a lesson here. That is the best thing about bad situations, if we can turn it into a learning experience, it makes it a positive. Not meaning to discount my wrongness in any way, but for me, I grow from this and that is good. I asked forgiveness from our Lord and I know that He is faithful and just to forgive us also. Praise the Lord for His longsuffering. :)

God's Word His letter to us is the gauge we look at 'whatever through' . When we read the history of the OT it quickly shows us how easy we go chasing rainbows..
