IMHO the lungs look a lot like wings. The heart is discussed as a place God dwells in. Twenty four elders bow before the throne and 24 ribs curve around the heart). If you begin to use our being (made by God) as the image the Ark was made from, then to me it all makes more sense.
That's a very interesting observation. Kinda cool IMO>
We do know that all of the furnishings of the tabernacle were copies of heavenly items... The Bible tells us that. And we know that Moses, when he came upon holy ground, had to take his sandals off, and just as well, when the priests ministered within the tabernacle they too had to take their sandals off. Why do you think that is? Perhaps it was to keep them grounded amongst all those spiritual realities... Just a thought.
But in conjunction with that idea, Jesus did pray, "Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven". So there are spiritual realities that take physical form each and every day, and we are responsible for those realities to become physical actions, but like the priests, we must have our feet firmly planted on soil, wouldn't you agree?
Nuf of that soap box. Wanna know what I thought was cool? You know the first part of Ezekiel where he talks about chariots, and wheels and all that weird stuff?... Did you know before the exile that Ezekiel ministered in the temple? Yup, all them weird things was just a picture of the Ark, and the Ark was taking the form of Mt. Sinai with all it's thunder and smoke. Yup, pretty cool. How do I know this? The Psalms tell us!
