Genesis 8:18 "And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him:
Gen 8:19 Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark."

Although there is no clear mention in Scripture (to my knowledge) that the flood, "cleansed" the earth from....
Genesis 6:5 "And Yahweh saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."

There are some wonderful truths revealed in the flood. My thoughts are on what the flood accomplished. My thoughts are centered on how wicked that man had become. Lets start with blood. The following is what happened....

Genesis 4:8 "And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
Gen 4:9 And Yahweh said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?
Gen 4:10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground."

The murder of Abel by his brother Cain was the second attack on the human race that Elohim had created to ultimately bring about salvation thru Messiah Jesus. I can see here, the early attempts of the enemy of our souls, Satan, to eliminate the godly line of men in who our Savior and Israel's Messiah would be born.

Satan's plan was to eliminate all believers in Elohim (Father EL, Son Yahshua, and Holy Spirit Ruah ha` Qudesh) The Names for the Trinity are from the Paleo Hebrew which is the oldest language given to man from YHWH when He wrote the 10 Commandments, given to Moses.

Then we progress to Genesis 6. This is a very controversial portion of Scripture, no wonder, Satan has always been busy, hiding his plan to create his own race of wickedness to take over what Yahweh had created.

Think about it my friends. Whether you believe Genesis six is true or not, Enoch said it was true, and he was so prized in Elohim, he was taken to Heaven (Shawmaeen) like no other. I'll take Enoch's word over man's any day....Satan is very clever in hiding Truth right up to today.

Thank and Praise Elohim for preserving His godly line thru Noah....
Genesis 6:8 "But Noah found grace in the eyes of Yahweh.
Noah and the Flood
6:9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with Elohim."

Please notice that this Scripture says, "Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations."....Elohim knew of Satan's plan, even thoughts and plans, even though he hadn't committed them yet. As a result, all thru Noah generations, Elohim hedged up Noah's forefathers so that evil could not destroy this line of godly ones so that Yahshua, our salvation could be realized.

Having said all this, the flood completely cleansed the earth. Water cleanses, as does the blood of Yahshua. After the flood, Satan is defeated....Can man keep it clean?

Can man keep it clean. No he can't, " For darkness shall cover the earth, and great darkness the people...........
The earth will become as it was in Genesis 1:2 and He will make a new heaven and a new earth.
Ecc. 1: 9 That which hath been is that which shall be; and that which hath been done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
Ecc. 3: 15 That which is hath been long ago; and that which is to be hath long ago been: and God seeketh again that which is passed away.

1Jn 5:6 This is He that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood.

Eph 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.

Interesting thread, though at a personal level, a bit confronting.
It has got me thinking about certain things in my life which is very close to me. My mother drowned in water, yet I was saved from water. My mother, got caught in a rip-tide, drowned out of fear because forensic reports a heart attack at time of drowning. Years before, I was snorkeling and caught in heavy seas at the base of a headland, I surrendered and suddenly found myself hanging halfway over the top edge of the headland (15 feet up). This thread, poses a question which I really don't want to think about. It is not my place to judge.

That may be so. However, their are similar circumstances where a person perfects something in their generations too. Such as the first Christian in the family tree, and how that may have started new fruit along that branch. Or in another way, I have seen many recovered alcoholics who have non-alcoholics from that branch, though the rest of their tree isn't.

Obviously not without Christ's way, truth and life; and the Spirit of Truth within them.
This realm, the visible, is also very dense and our body senses are flooded by it. To sense the Greater Reality, the invisible, is very fine and it takes faith (unreserved surrender) to discern it. Humans are too caught up in the visible because that is satan's flood, the flood of the fleshy senses. Baptism of water symbolizes death, and willingness to immersion, snaps us out of the worldly deception of satan. This coupled with a clean repented heart (temple), allows for the Spirit of Truth (God and Christ) to occupy it. Baptism is how we swap one flood for another (from deception to Truth, from fear to Love, from dark to Light).

Eugene isn't talking about real water H20, he is talking of the living water, which is the Word.....

All I can say is thank God for the rainbow haha just kidding. Great thread Chopper, I'm going to reread it couple of times and soak in (no pun) intended the debth of what you had to say.

Having said all this, the flood completely cleansed the earth. Water cleanses, as does the blood of Yahshua. After the flood, Satan is defeated....Can man keep it clean?

We know the flood was the judgment of God upon a wicked and perverse people. Granted they gained their wickedness through Adam but had become so wicked it repented God that He had created man.
Wicked men become worse and worse, they don't get better.
The cross of coarse will provide the way for man.
It is by nature that man is wicked (sin nature) and it is the nature they now become the righteousness of God by Christ (nature).
The world was cleansed of all wickedness at the flood because there was none left, but for Noah and his family. They still handed down the sin nature innately recieved by Adam.
So all to follow Noah and his family would have the same problem that existed before the flood, the cure was yet to come.

Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. 36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. 37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

The flood did cleanse the wickedness on earth making all things renewed at that time and by one, Noah, being the only righteous man who begat a new generation, (likened unto Jesus being the only righteous one who begat a renewed Spiritual generation), but even then mans heart became hardened as even though the earth was renewed from wicked man, the spirit that is Satan was not destroyed. (I have often wondered why) The flood of Gods mighty wrath in the end of days will finalize the wickedness here on earth as the wicked one, Satan, will be destroyed forever and then God will renew heaven and earth as sin will no longer reign in the heart of man.

Good point, the world is a schoolhouse. Salvation for the Christian is the beginning and then the training, learning begins.
Paul would have us to learn Christ, no matter the circumstance or situation (tudors and governors) Gal. 4:2
under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.

The teaching can be severe at times, but there is one reason and one purpose for all things, to learn Him who is your life.
We are headed to the Fathers house, what we don't learn now we will learn through out eternity.
The learning will be the same, we will be learning Christ.

Collosians 1: 28 whom we proclaim, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ;
29 whereunto I labor also,
striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

Eph 4: 11 *u And he gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 *u for the perfecting of the saints, unto the work of ministering, unto the building up of the body of Christ:
13 *u till we all attain unto the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a fullgrown man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

This is the mandate of the Lord for every believer. Till they become transformed into the image of Christ Jesus.

We are ever learning, that is for sure, and sometimes we might not understand something, but all truths will be revealed in the end.

That tudor and guardian, is the Holy Spirit who does the preparing us, for the Adoption, into the Fathers Business.." You have no need of anyone to teach you, for the anointing which you received will do that! Not that we don't need teachers, pastors, evangelists, etc, but they should only " confirm " what the Spirit has been teaching us already.

There is a difference between what we confirm and what the Holy Spirit confirms in regards to what is being taught. We may confirm what we already know regardless if it is true or not. But the Holy Spirit confirms only what is true; for itself comes from truth, and its confirmation is its love for the truth.

We are, as a person, incapable of knowing all the truth. The Holy Spirit only reveals what God and Christ wants to be revealed. So there is bound to be truths that we have not yet received. Receiving largely depends on our willingness to follow God's/Christ's will for us. Sometimes we are too caught up in something else to receive what is already for us to receive. So God sometimes uses another person to send us the lesson. Once we hear the lesson, it is the Holy Spirit that confirms what is true. In return, we feel that confirmation from the Holy Spirit, but not from ourselves, because as we have never heard that lesson (revelation) before.

What I am saying is, we do not already have all the lessons passed onto us. Certain lessons need to come first in preparation to fully understand other lessons to yet to come. As long as we live, there will be more lessons for us to receive, including how to die with unreserved faith.

But the Holy Spirit confirms only what is true; for itself comes from truth, and its confirmation is its love for the truth.
Hermit why is it that you refer to the Holy Spirit, as " Itself, It "?

The Holy Spirit only reveals what God and Christ wants to be revealed.
Hermit, the Spirit is Jesus!
1 Cor.2: 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
To know Him, to understand Him, to comprehend Him, is to know 1 Cor.2:12 But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that were freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Spirit teacheth; combining spiritual understanding with spiritual words .

John 21: 25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that should be written.
John 20: 30 Many other signs therefore did Jesus in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book:
31 but these are written, that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye may have life in his name.
2 john 1:12 Having many things to write unto you, I would not write them with paper and ink: but I hope to come unto you, and to speak face to face, that your joy may be made full.
3 John 1: 13 I had many things to write unto thee, but I am unwilling to write them to thee with ink and pen:
14 but I hope shortly to see thee, and we shall speak face to face. Peace be unto thee.

If there is anything we wish to know we have the Author, and we can ask Him what we need to know!

...But the Holy Spirit confirms only what is true; for itself comes from truth, and its confirmation is its love for the truth...
Hermit why is it that you refer to the Holy Spirit, as " Itself, It "?...
For following reasons
1. The Spirit is not a gender. Though grammatically the Holy Spirit is He.
2. To save confusion between, in regards to Trinity, for I was specifically referring to the Holy Spirit.
3. To save having to repeatedly use Holy Spirit in the same short sentence.
4. Because you would have, and did know, what "itself, it" refers to.
...If there is anything we wish to know we have the Author, and we can ask Him what we need to know!
Then why ask me a question when you can get all the answers from the Author.
Besides, my previous post referred to receiving truths without necessarily asking for it (revelations), and the fact that we don't have all the answers in full awareness.
...What I am saying is, we do not already have all the lessons passed onto us. Certain lessons need to come first in preparation to fully understand other lessons to yet to come. As long as we live, there will be more lessons for us to receive, including how to die with unreserved faith.
Otherwise we would never need to ponder, wonder, question, search, or even take responsibility for every one of our own thoughts and actions.

Hermit did you ever see a flower struggling to fulfill its destiny? Because of the Life that is in the seed, it will fulfill its predetermined destiny.
1Peter 1: 23 having been begotten again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which liveth and abideth.
The seed in us, will bear fruit after its kind, { christlikeness ]
As long as it gets revelational light, and living water, and the breeze of the Spirit, it will grow. We need to keep it free from pests that seek to destroy, and the dis-eases of the world, it will produce the fruit of Christlikeness.

Then are you still stuck on the trinity? I thought you would be past that by now. That was necessary in preschool, but now?

Just to make sure we are on the same page.

What answers would you be looking for, besides knowing Him?

Whew you sure do like to make this a work of complications.

barelohim, your quotes in blue.
For a Christian you have a funny way to avoid issues by belittling comments.
1. Then are you still stuck on the trinity? I thought you would be past that by now. That was necessary in preschool, but now?
How can something be necessary in preschool but not now, but not now.
What you are saying is either what was necessary was a lie and later will be a truth, OR, what was necessary was a truth and later will be a lie. In either case to believe in a lie is a sin.
2. Whew you sure do like to make this a work of complications.
What you are implying, and avoiding, is being responsible for all your thoughts and actions when ypu are following your own will. Unless you actually believe that you are incorruptible (truthful and loving _ not belittling others to make yourself feel superior).

From above quotes:
Then why ask me a question when you can get all the answers from the Author.
3. Just to make sure we are on the same page.

I would have thought that the Author's answer would have made it known if we were on the same page or not. If you had doubt, then were you not in between God's-will and self-will?

Besides, my previous post referred to receiving truths without necessarily asking for it (revelations), and the fact that we don't have all the answers in full awareness.
4. What answers would you be looking for, besides knowing Him?
You just asked me a question (What answers would you be looking for, besides knowing Him?). So you are wondering (not knowing my answer) what I would say. If you know Him, then you would not ask these questions but simply speak the truth. You would say what He commands you to say, just as Jesus Christ had obeyed.
John 12:49 For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken.
