'You believe this, and therefore it raises another question. If Jesus was a messenger of God, then how come he preached a different message? Mohommed says that if you are good and do good deeds you will enter Heaven, hoever, Jesus preaches its not by your works that you enter Heaven, its by your faith. So who is right? Now upon deciding who is right, you have to change your whole doctrine. '
what we need to do here is go back to the time of moses. moses introduced the new laws of God. these laws and commandments are quite clear to read and follow in the old testament. what you must note is that the majority of these laws were preached by muhammed and followed by muslims (circumcision, not eating pork etc)
jesus said he came not to change the law but to fulfill it. this verse along with 'Jesus preaches its not by your works that you enter Heaven, its by your faith.' has been wronlgy interpreted to mean that following the laws does not matter. the correct application of this verse is discovered through examples of jesus' life. jesus was a Jew who observed the sabbath yet when he spoke about saving the lamb from death on the sabbath, he was trying to teach his people about the PROPER application of these laws. he was trying to teach the MODERATE use of these laws. the jews at the time were ZEALOTS. it was because of this EXTREME regard for the law that jesus was sent. the jews had become so engrossed in following every letter of the law, they took pride in it and disregared the SPIRITUAL aspect. jesus came to remind them of this spiritual aspect. this is how he FULFILLED the law.
as we can see, christians have now completly disregarded the law, deeming it unnesecery to be 'saved'. Muhammed was sent to reinstate the laws of God as well as the spiritual teachings of christ. islam does not contradict either judaism or christianity but encompasses both of their original teachings
