2 Corinthians 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. What does this verse say to you?
Consider what Christ has accomplished for all His elect!
beseech; parakaleō - to address or speak to; admonish, exhort
"the world":
all of the election of Grace (Rom. 11:5); Jews and Gentiles
2 Cor. 5:17-21
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God,
who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that
God was in Christ,
reconciling the world unto Himself,
not imputing their trespasses unto them;
and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then
we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead,
be ye reconciled to God.
For He hath made him to be sin for us,
who knew no sin;
that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.
Before the foundation of the world, all the sins that God's elect would ever commit were imputed to Christ
(2 Tim. 1:9), their Head and Mediator, and they were His spiritual Seed (Psalm 22:23). He made payment for them before He ever created the world (Rev.13:8). Upon coming into this world they are born sinners, but sin cannot be counted against them because it has already been paid for. They were all reconciled, brought into God's favor; they were justified while they were at enmity with God (Rom.5:10)... before they ever repented or believed. They are declared righteous through the death of Christ!
