My daughter, and her 17 and 14 years old daughters and I are going to see his concert in Florence in January. A pretty small arena, about 10,000 (maybe a little more). I saw Mika there, it'll be very nice.

What do you call Texas Music? That video is eastern music style, poorly played. All my life, as a Texas Guitar Picker/Singer I played and sang the Music of Texans, the music found being sang on Sixth Street in
Austin, Country & Western for money and the Blues from the Sixties for fun. No Sitar, nothing trying to sound like a Sitar and no Bealle's sound, that passed away with the Seventies. So, please, what is Texasto you?

You give some money to a Bitcoin vendor, and he puts some Bitcoins into your electronic account. It was designed as electronic money. You store your access code on a computer. Its too complicated to remember, so you must make sure not to lose the computer that has the code on it. There are Bitcoin ATMs where people can get cash in return for their Bitcoins, or they can pay for items on the Internet using electronic Bitcoins instead of sending electronic cash from their checking account.

Unlike dollars, there are only a limited number of Bitcoins that can exist, so if a lot of people want them, they have to bid up the price to entice someone else to sell theirs. However, so many people are bidding the price of Bitcoins up that only people that really know what they are doing should buy them now. The price is to the moon. Bitcoins have become a gamble on how much someone else will pay for them in the future, instead of money.

How do I buy the initial bitcoins?
Credit card?
Seems like I still need to depend on the existing financial system.

Plus, it kind of sounds like Animal Farm.
Eventually this will be the new system, and those that run it will control it and us.
Just like the banks do now.

I don't think any system can run on it's own.

Yes, you can use a credit card. Its not the future because its hooked up to the Internet. Eventually, hackers will get to it when computers become fast enough. It uses an older technology to secure it. The rich store their bitcoins on computers in vaults that are not hooked up to the net in an effort to protect them. However, to spend their Bitcoins, they have to hook up to the net again. Competing electronic currencies have been started, and some nations are considering issuing their own electronic currencies.

Its all Internet based, so hackers are constantly trying to get at them. Most of the work to maintain the system (Bitcoin mining) is done by private individuals in places like China and Venezuela. Can you really trust them?

Always is a long time.
My son loved Quiet Riot, Dio, Black Sabbath, Ozzie Osborne, etc.
He hates them now!!

But, who knows, we're all different.
