The Derailing Thread Part Two

There's a cat been hanging around my house lately. He'll come up and meow at the door, but he's very shy and timid. He seems to honestly crave human attention. It's making me sad because I can't give him a home because I already have a cat and can't take in a second one. I did leave treats out for him though.
He was meowing outside tonight. I went to play with him or at least give him treats, but he either left my yard or isn't comfortable walking up to me yet.

Cats raised by people tend to be comfortable around people. Cats raised by other cats in the wild tend to be wary of people.

Well he seems to want attention. I've had lots of cats in my yard that were feral, but he will come over if I start talking to him and my brother was able to pet him. He was just very timid and would run away if you made sudden movements.

I did not know that the sound of roller skates could be "music", but in this case, I think it is....

I've recently seen someone derail their own thread and get annoyed when I didn't help them. Some things shouldn't have to be explained.

Does anyone else like, be reading a thing, then suddenly people are talking so your mind just kinda fills with static where you can't process much until they stop talking

I get headaches this way

Yes, most people sub-vocalize when they read. That is, they silently say the words to themselves in their heads as they read them. Thus for most people reading is partially processed in the same areas of the brain as talking is. For many people, it can be hard to read while conversations are taking place, or listening to songs.

Some people can focus their attention to block out distraction, and others can only do so to a limited extent.

It actually got so bad yesterday that it got to the point that every noise bothered me and made me feel overwhelmed, even small noises. My family didn't understand too well when I said I had a headache because it was too noisy.

Both of my biological parents have a history of migraines. Most of my headaches are tension headaches, but I have been getting headaches in general more often recently. I am also more sensitive to noises than I can recall being in the past. Maybe if I ever visit a doctor again I should bring it up.

Welcome to my work - I often take the computer and sit in the break room or out in the warehouse to get away from it.

My neighbor decided to call an eye place and ask about getting me sunglasses since bright light and sun glare can give me headaches, and ended up finding out I could get a free eye exam.
