The Derailing Thread

I saw sushi at the store today. My neighbor and I almost decided to buy it for our lunch. We decided subs was probably a better choice. (How could we be sure we'd like the sushi since we never tried it?)

I really like sushi. At a grocery store around here there's a sushi station inside where Japanese people cook it fresh every day. So if you can, that's the way to go. And its not too expensive.

I like these two. (I've tried more than these but I can't remember what they were. Matt and I went for sushi at a Japanese restaurant a few years ago. Don't know why we haven't gone back.)

Since I seem to be into Japanese stuff so much today,
There was a Japanese girl at our bus stop and she didn't speak much English and I not much Japanese, but she was impressed when I said good morning and other basic words. She was so sweet. Her mannerisms were interesting and cute. What an awesome culture. ..........I am soooo going to Japan one day!

I'll spend the rest of my life learning about this cultural heritage, and still not scratch the very surface. Hey, much like my God!

Agreed!

I was at one point reading the news of whats happening in Japan. I think the last I looked (awhile ago) there was actually a volcano eruption. The news was in English.

At one of my first jobs a million years ago, we had a consultant one day, nice girl from Japan. I asked her what part of Japan, and must have been impressed that the medium-size city on the Japan Sea coast, where relatively few foreigners visit, not only had I heard of, but had actually been to a couple times (same prefecture as where one of my college roommates was from).
