The Derailing Thread

Been playing a lot of Minecraft today to unwind while the Mrs. is shopping with a friend. I like my PS4. It's a fun little console.

I really identify with this guy. I can even honestly say "I'm not insane. My mother had me tested."

Yep. And I'm not insane. My parents really did have me tested. I have a report from the hospital since I was about 3 years old. It says twice on it "The boy is mentally stable".

Why would your parents have you tested?I would love a child mentally stable or not.

What is Minecraft?
A video game with a lot of cool features and no real storyline. You can basically just do whatever you want. You can build stuff, and there's a survival mode where you can do stuff like build a house, plant trees or vegetables, mine natural resources, and at night you have to be careful of monsters. People do all kinds of things in Minecraft, and new features are added with each update.

Sorry... I had to mess with you a bit. They didn't have me tested for insanity, but the hospital mentioned it in their report. I had my first epileptic siesures when I was 2 1/2 years old. We were in Sweden at the time, where my dad was studying. I went to the hospital there and then to the hospital here in Reykjavik when we came back. The Icelandic hospital is the one that gave that report. But we have to remember that this report is over half a century old. It means nothing today.

I am so glad it's Friday. This has been a really hard work week and I need a break.

Not only is it Friday, but it's the last Friday I have to work this year. I only have to work next Monday, Tuesday and half of Wednesday (Christmas Eve) and then I don't come back to work until January 5th.
