The disciple whom Jesus loved

I was just wondering:

1. Who this disciple is,
2. Did Jesus love this disciple more than the others,
3. Who testified about this disciple?:dunno :shrug :confused

Not wanting to prove anything here but I think he was John, the beloved.

While referencing himself, he used the 3rd person voice. The bird who visits your thread thinks so anyway.

I agree it was John. In His earthly life Jesus had one very good friend whom He was the closest to. Jesus was human after all, and like the rest of us, some of us have what we refer to as 'best friends'. So did Jesus. This is also why He asked John to look after His mother. We can only assume perhaps something happened to Mary's husband who is not made mention of much.
His richest blessings

thanks!
John? Well no name was giving. It seems to me Peter was closer to Christ than any other of the disciples...dunno.

I think HE allowed more tasks to Peter than John and the rest.

Peter, do you love ME?...

All of the deciples loved Jesus. If I am not mistaken, John was the only one who didn't die a Martyrs death. He was also blessed with seeing God's future kingdom via visions (Revelation). He was the deciple Jesus loved.

Jesus loved them all. John, however is stating that he knows that he is Jesus' beloved. As we should, too.

Wasn't it John who laid his head on Jesus' shoulder?

You are the disciple that Jesus loves. 2 Thes. 2:13

I'm a little confused here.

Yes, sorta. Like kindof, maybe, almost. They reclined at supper and did not eat at a table per se. The habit is more restful and the repose that is mentioned in the image portrayed and 'painted' in the habit and the Word of God may still be viewed in the lives of Bedouins and others as well as seen in the Scripture and studies conducted today.

Here's a quick pic of what has been shown to me:

and the food (don't forget the food)...
