The eternal God is thy refuge

Deut 33:27

The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.

God is outside of Time, for He is Eternal and scripture says that He inhabits Eternity Isa 57:15


For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

It does not matter how many scriptures one may present as to God declaring that He shall do something, for such language only serves to accommodate creatures of time, like you and i; However the beginning and ending of all time events, are ever present in the Mind of the Eternal God, for to limit God's perspective as an Eternal Being, to the perspective of a time creature, is Highly insulting to God and Blasphemous Isa 50:21

These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.

For God declares the End from the beginning, He is not subject to it or governed by it,but it by Him Isa 46:10, and yes it is His Power active in time that fulfills all things. In Eternity where God dwells, there is no yesterday, today, and tomorrow ! God created time, to serve and manifest His Eternal Purpose, and Eternity was there when time was not, and God inhabits Eternity !

God's Eternal Perspective !

God's Eternal Perspective of the sacrifice of Christ ! The Lord Jesus Christ offered Himself through the Eternal Spirit Heb 9:14

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

And did obtain for them He offered Himself for an Eternal Redemption Heb 9:12

12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Outside of Time is Eternity, for time begins and ends, but Eternity before God is always Present, the Sacrifice of Christ, though done in Time, is yet not a product of time. The scriptures indicate that it [His Offering or Sacrifice] is far beyond time, so much so, that it declares a Lamb Slain from or before the foundation of the world ! This slain Lamb's offering encompasses the Redemption of all God's Church from Adam and Eve, Abel until the Second Coming of Christ !

God's Eternal Perspective !

It needs to be repeated that Christ's Cross-work is not a effect of time, but in the fullness is was made manifested by it's outworking of the Eternal Counsel of God Eph 3:11, which is ever present before Him whom Inhabits Eternity Isa 57:15, for in God's own perspective, there is no succession of time, but one Eternal Present, this is true so much that a day is as a thousand years, but no so with us ! The Salvation that Christ's oblation secures and brings to pass, was prepared for God's Elect [Each Individual of them See Matt 20:23]

23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

This is a extremely important statement from Christ, for there is a Glory Prepared, and fixed in the Eternal Counsels for member of Christ's Kingdom. The word prepared here is in the perfect past tense, meaning prepared once and for all in the past Eternal Counsels with results now into the present. This word also [prepared] is the same word Paul used of the vessels of mercy Rom 9:23

23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

Also the same subjects are in view here Matt 25:34

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Its the same greek word again prepared, and it also is the perfect tense !

This Kingdom is the Kingdom of Glory 1 Thess 2:12

That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.

This is what Paul means of being vessels of mercy, which He had afore prepared unto Glory !

God's Eternal Perspective ! Pt 3

These same ones as before were the objects of God's Eternal Love in Christ before the foundation of the world Rom 8:39

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Jn 17:23-24

23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

This was because they were chosen into a Eternal Union Together with Christ, before the foundation of the World Eph 1:4; Along with the appointment of Christ's sacrifice for them before the foundation of the world, for 1 Pet 1:20 and Rev 13:8 are the same !

The Lord Jesus Christ from the perspective of the Eternal Purpose, has always been offering Himself for those in Eternal Union with Him. The Cross of Christ is not the product of time, but the fullness of time, when God's Eternal Purpose of Election and Christ manifested itself encompassing the past, present and future, declaring that God has always been in Christ reconciling the world of God's Elect or Church or Israel to Himself by the Lamb slain from the foundation !
