The False Doctrine of Preterism and Futurism

Christ did not return. If He had, the entire world would have seen. That was prophesied, not the scenario you imagine which reduces the Second Coming to an event noted by no one.

What kosmos would have seen him? Everyone expected him to return soon and he did.

Moderator note for all posters in the End Times forum .
I think it best to limit to asking the same question of another poster to 2 times .
In a more perfect world we would always get an answer but we can not force one to answer a question .

There is no evidence of that. The gospel needs to be preached to the ends of the Earth before the Second Coming. And it will be seen by the whole world. Revelation 1:7 says:

“Look, he is coming with the clouds,”
and “every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him”;
and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.”
So shall it be! Amen.

Sorry, but that hasn't happened yet. There would certainly be a historical record of such an event.

So how do you reconcile the scripture that says every eye will see HIm with your secret Second Coming theory? And how was the gospel spread to the whole world in the first century AD? And why does the world continue in war and poverty if Christ has been reigning by remote control for the last two millennia?

Every eye of man or of the elect? You want a sign, but all you get is Moses.

We are not getting the return of the messiah, because it wasn't for our generation. When the time comes, God will transfer all life on Earth into His Kingdom.
His millennial kingdom will be right here on earth, with its headquarter in Jerusalem, not in any imaginary realm.

The text is pretty clear. The whole world will see the Second Coming. There is nothing in Scripture that supports your view, and the state of the world is pretty strong evidence that Christ has not returned. There are prophecies--including the one about the gospel being preached throughout the world--that were not fulfilled by 70 AD.

The problem is that these folks fail to realize that Mark's and Matthew's versions of the Olivet Discourse are incomplete, there's one critical element that can only be found in Luke 21:24:

"And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled."

This is the abomination of desolation, it'll last for almost two thousand years until the end. Mark and Matthew only referenced Dan. 9:27, only Luke explained it.

You should quote it and know the Greek, if it is that important.

No, it does not. What someone believes is unimportant, but if he trusts God, he will obey his suggestions.
Wrong theology leads to wrong belief, and then wrong attitude and wrong actions. You can pretend that God's utopia kingdom is already here while we're actually living in a dystopia. If one trusts God, he won't deceive himself and others with this kind of attitude.

Preterism was the heresy in the Thessalonian church, there were rumors that Christ had already come and they missed it, Paul wrote two letters to precisely rebuke that.

This is not true and cannot be proven. The final messiah was not supposed to bring peace to Israel.

The early church was translated like Enoch; this should make you feel uncomfortable, and nonspecial.

You go read the letters carefully and do your own research, there were fake letters in Paul's name circulating in that church.
