Bible Study The Flesh Is Left Out of the New Covenant

Smaller, none of us ever said we are perfect and without sin as there have been many that have discussed this with you. It is you accusing us of saying that calling us liars and hypocrites. There is no one perfect other than Christ who in Him we are being perfected daily until the day of redemption when we are changed in the twinkling of an eye and are raised incorruptible and immortal as then we will be with the Lord forever.

1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1Co 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
1Co 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
1Co 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
1Co 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Co 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

That never happened. If you direct your sights to the liar in the flesh you'll see I blamed no believer for not being able to speak honestly or being a hypocrite. I consider not being able to speak honestly and being a hypocrite as demonic workings in the flesh.

No harm, no foul from my end.

I guess it was just the way you put it in your wording and now know that was not your intent and I do apologize.:sorry2x

That is a unique perspective.
Did it never occur to you that might be just as insulting?
Just wondering.

I do not mean to butt in on your conversation with smaller, but if I might, I would like to try and give you a different perspective to think about. While I don't disagree with smaller, I have no focus as to demons at work in our flesh. That is not to disagree with smaller's observation, but rather it is to say that my focus is on Christ; the demons, while they may still be there, I give them no thought.

But the question is why do we react adversely when we feel someone is calling us a liar or a hypocrite? What is it that offends us because someone calls us a liar or a hypocrite? But if I am settled in my faith with Christ, then I know that I am a liar and a hypocrite, it is by nature in my flesh. And if I can confess of myself that I am a liar and a hypocrite, then why should I find offense if someone calls me a liar? If someone calls me an "bleep", then I just agree with them: Yes I Am.

Let me challenge you with another thought, and then tell me how you react, and why you react that way.

Are you a false teacher?

There is only one answer, and I hope that you might think upon it. Do you think you would be able to say yes, and then explain why?

Or maybe to re-phrase that a little differently: Is there any way that I could call you a false teacher where you would not have the impulse to defend yourself?

The Flesh Is Left Out of the New Covenant
The New Covenant puts the "flesh" on the cross, and puts Christ at the helm. That is why it is "left out". Whatever is on the cross is nailed down in a coffin and place six feet under.

1 Corinthians 15:46
Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

What is of the Flesh, and what is of the Spirit? Do we put off the one before putting on the other? Or does the spirit wax while the flesh wanes, yet the two exist in one. We are planted in the earth, and we are formed of the earth, it is part of our nature.

Now consider a seed that is sown in the ground, when the seed germinates and brings forth a new plant, does the seedling seek after only the soil in which it was sown? Or does the seedling only reach up toward the light? Does it not spring forth into the light while at the same time establishing a root system in the ground from which it came?

Can a tree bring forth fruit without light from above? No
Can a tree bring forth fruit without the ground in which it is planted? No
Without the cooperation between the two, the tree is as one cut down, which withers away and dies; And a dead tree bears no fruit.

As a tree must grow from the ground with the light given to it before it can bring forth fruit, so is the nature we have been planted into. We can't grow by only condemning the flesh, or by trying to perfect the flesh. We can not grow if we try and deny the flesh and follow only the spirit. There must be a balance and a partnership between the two in order for the plant to bear fruit.

Probably a couple of the most truthful observations I've seen here in the years I've posted.

If we understand the scripture (fact) principles applied in these matters we have NO FEAR to turn and face Every Word of God because they are all applied to US one way or another. If we see our "construct" in the flesh (with sin indwelling and evil present which IS demonic) we find wisdom, understanding and quite rightful Godly fear. It is at this point of "honesty" to what we are that God will show His Divine Cadence. That the rich and the poor are bound together. The wicked and the just are bound together. The wise and the fool are bound together. We in the flesh are bound together with our own enemy(s).

The Gospel is an offense to many in this way. If we understand the Divine Cadence we understand WHO should be offended. IF Jesus turned and spoke to any of us and addressed or rebuked us as He did with Peter, speaking directly to Satan IN Peter's flesh, would that be an offense? I don't think so. It would be a blessing to have the REBUKE of Christ upon our adversary. We should SEEK Every Word of Him rather than scurry away from His Every Word that we "quite falsely" think is not directed to US as fast as possible and try to 'defer those Words' to other people.

Does it offend people to hear that their own flesh is against and contrary to the Spirit as Gal. 5:17 presents? Do we see the 'adversarial' relationship this brings FROM GOD? When we think it's just "me" as an individual engaged with the Word, that is the sight of one eyed flesh men who can't see through their own hide, as The Word Sees.

When any believer sees themselves as scriptures see, the world of our adversary FEARS, because their end is NEAR. They TREMBLE. As they should. It is then we see that ONE can put 10,000 to flight.

smaller and I already cleared up the liar and hypocrite thing as he was actually quoting scripture, but I took it the wrong way so it's all good between him and I. If I stand to be corrected in that of what I teach others then the Holy Spirit will be my judge and convict me of my error as in past times. Romans 3:3,4

I do not understand what your responding to when you say "If I stand to be corrected". Is that your response to the question I asked concerning the idea of a false teacher? Or is this response to something else?

There was a very important thought I had to share concerning the notion of a false teacher, but if you can't bring yourself to honestly answer the question I asked of you, then why should I share with you this simple truth?

The flesh will always lie and try to deceive us, but if we have risen with Christ then we seek those things from above and not the things of this earth which includes our own sinful flesh. We are dead to the sin nature and our life is hid with Christ so when He appears we also appear with Him in glory, Colossians 3:1,2. If we are walking in the Spirit then we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh, Galatians 5:16.

It did not offend me that I thought someone was calling me a liar or a hypocrite, which they were not, but what offends me is when a brother or sister in Christ comes against each other for which smaller was not doing.

No, I do not believe I am a false teacher for I know the Holy Spirit would be quick to convict me if I was teaching something wrong as I have been showed in the past where I made some mistakes as the Holy Spirit used others to correct me. I know I am not perfect, but being perfected daily.
