Early onset of Parkinsons. You oughta have that checked.
Truthfully, in the end the whole on-line social media thing is a continuation of the high school mentality. We all remember what that's all about--popularity contests, cliques, climbing the social ladder, clamoring for attention, K-Mart jeans.... This really isn't any different, except you don't know what brand of jeans I wear.I'm beginnnnnnnnning to think the like button isnt appropriate for us. What are we liking and what are we detesting? This is very similar to the Ignore button.
may bring kind of division: you like posts that agree with your own line of thought and ignore or detest ones that dont agree with your stance.
i have notied that excellent posts here get ignored...at times when A corrects B. ;)

This is true.Looks like you have competition. :yes
I don't use it.
If someone upsets you so much that you need to block their words from your view, you have issues.

Or they have issues. Have you thought of that? Sometimes (probably most of the time) people get ignored because of their own behavior, not because the person ignoring them has issues.

or they operate by different standards,And in the case of verbally abusive individuals? People who are only there to stir up trouble rather than contribute to fruitful discussion?
On here, such individuals are immediately banned--usually before many people see them. But on some sites, the traffic of the site is too busy for the staff to catch them right away, or they operate by different standards, or some other such reason.
I'll just ignore you said that. (Yeah. Try to untwist that one.)Or they have issues. Have you thought of that? Sometimes (probably most of the time) people get ignored because of their own behavior, not because the person ignoring them has issues.

Me too.I admit there is a member or two that I ignore on a regular basis. But I am able to do this without the help of the ignore function.
I don't know if the person who goes on an ignore list knows it or not, but if they do, I see no constructive value in letting them know I've done that to them. In fact, my motivation would most likely be wrong if I feel I need to let them know I'm ignoring them. (Hmm, makes me think of High School again.)It is my belief that by putting someone on the "ignore list", I'm telling God (because He sees everything) that that individuals words aren't worthy to be seen. What they say doesn't count.
I feel one loses that right when they speak in condescending, insulting tones.I think everybody has a right to be heard.
Oh, I don't know. After 15 or 20 views, I'm still pretty entertained by this:We are all separate individuals. How boring would it be if we were all alike?
.
Different sites and staff will naturally have their own perspective. Sometimes trolls know how to toe the line, and not all sites will deal with that in the same way.or they operate by different standards,
