Yes thanks Reba.. it's clear now... :-) And of course we knew that already..

Reba evidently believes that the Lord has already come and IS now sitting upon the throne of His glory with His Apostles also sitting upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel... in the regeneration.

Anyone else ?
In part this is what i believe.

Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Heb_8:1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

Heb_10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

Heb_12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

1Pe_3:22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

The Sword of the SPIRIT...

Perhaps one of the most difficult pieces of our wondrous Godly armour to utilize effectively.. is that miraculous two edged Sword of the Spirit.. a living and powerful piece of armour which we hold in our hands today.. the Sword of Spirit.. the word of God.

It's simple and yet limitless in its Godly power to defeat any deceitful thing which the deceiver could snare us with.. yet we need to always grow in the grace and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ or we'll become weak in our ability to cut through the darkness..

There's a limitless resource in our hands.. the Sword of Spirit.. the very oracles of God... a Lamp unto our feet which surely can cut through the lies from the rulers of the darkness of this world.

Here is a trick question...

Why would the Apostle to the Gentiles warn the body of Christ of being DECEIVED by ANYONE who would SAY that THAT DAY is at hand.. ? ? ?

Any thoughts..? :-)

Dating of 2 Thessalonians:

2 Thessalonians Apostle Paul A.D. 50 A.D. 52 A.D. 51

They were all taught the "day of the Lord" would happen while some of them still lived. Paul, writing in 51 AD, is telling them it hasn't happened yet and to beware those who say it has.

This was written some 18-19 years before the day of the Lord befell Jerusalem in 70 AD.

Nothing about this warning was written or intended for us. Nothing.

Then there are those who see the living, powerful, miraculous word of God, the sword of the Spirit.. As nothing more than a history book.

And everyone but them knows how ridiculous that is.. But then again, that's exactly what the god of this present evil world wants everyone to believe.

Gave you some here:

Which merely proves you're not interested in discussion. You use questions like these:

As an opportunity to ambush and belittle those who respond. Why are you “evenhere?" Your idea of "discussion" isn't befitting a Christian web forum.

Everything in 2 Thessalonians 2, was intended for us, and can be proven by the scriptures.

The events concern us today.

Sorry but preterism is a lie from the depths of hell and everyone knows it but the ones pushing it.

I'm sure that's why you have your own forum to bask in the destruction of Jerusalem..but we all know that's not enough for them.. They must spread their disease until there's no faith...

And watch... It's going to happen.. Probably just a few years down the road and the truth will be beyond recognition.

No wonder the Apostle says to REJECT a heretic after the first and second admonition... Because its obvious by then that they do not love the truth of the word of God.. They flat out deny it and teach people that it's not for them..

Doesn't get any more pathetic than that IMO.. The word of God isn't for you.. If that's not massive deception then what is..

By their own admission they have nothing to do with the body of Christ... And they're so hardened to the truth that it's probably impossible for them to be corrected... And they could never admit that they have been deceived to the extent which they are.

Yes, the Ephesians 6 passage about the armor of God, used by the believer, is very helpful and searching.

Soldiers need to keep their armor in a ready state, day by day.

Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

They'll tell you that the truth is wicked and that the truth is not for you...

The scoffers will say that there is no need for the armour of God.. They'll tell you that Satan is long gone... Which is precisely what the god of this present evil world would like them to believe.

And I like how the end of 2 Peter 3 goes on to say: '...grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ'. It's truly a daily challenge as the believer goes on to serve Him day by day, by His grace.

That's right on... Because if we do not grow in the grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, our sword will become dull and ineffective at cutting through the lies from the rulers of the darkness of this world... We would have no way to cut through spiritual wickedness in high places..

We see it right here.. The faith delivered once to the saints shall be mocked and scoffed at to no end and exchanged for the lies from the rulers of darkness.. And they would have it no other way of course.
