The Meaning of Your Username

My username is inspired by this Bible verse:

Isaiah 44:5

One person will say, "I belong to the LORD." Another will call on the name of Jacob. Another will write on his hand, "The LORD's," and he will adopt the name of Israel.

I love it! I love the constant reminder that I am the Lord's and no one else's- that I belong to Him exclusively. I am the Lord's! Yay :D

Your turn...

My username was inspired by... My name :) You see, one of my names is Caroline, and one of my names starts with an "H." I felt that it was something that really represented me, and so I went with it. At first my username was something else, but a while after becoming a moderator I changed it to what it is now, and now I hardly ever get called "carol" anymore, but sometimes... :bigfrown

:D

I picked mine so that if I ever get lost, y'all can tell me how to get back to this temporal place I call home.

In the ancient days of computing, AOL only let you have one user name. My wife, son, and I picked "Threeofus@aol.com

But the "s" didn't fit, so we were "Threeofu." Later, you could have more than one name, we switched providers, and so I am Threeofu@yahoo.com

From my father -

My "Username" has always been the same on every forum I've been on over the last 13 years - Bob Carabbio.

I remember that my My Father used to get irritated when reading the paper by people who WOULDN'T Sign their names to articles and letters they wrote. He saw it as a sign that they (by hiding their identity) basically were either "ashamed", or "embarrassed" by what they'd written, and he'd just discard the article as worthless because the author wouldn't "Own up" to having written it.

So I decided that ANYTHING I wrote for public consumption would be signed with my REAL name, and then there'd be no question whether I "stood behind" it or not.

Simple as that.

My stories similar to Caroline's. I came on as mjjcb, mostly because I never thought for a moment that "Mike" would be available. :lol

Mine is just one I picked because no one else ever uses it. I got tired of always thinking up clever usernames only to be told they were already taken.:)

I wonder, did anyone on this forum pick "Jesus" for their username?:chin

Mine is inspired by my name. I was originally Nick_29 - 29 being my year of birth backwards. But I thought that Nick was just...better, simpler.

I''m sure that's happened. I think one guy I saw had Satan or SatanRules. He got banned before his first post :lol

I watched that Movie. I loved the satire and the irony. Some of the scenario's where near realistic otherwise.

My name is a composite of two names blended into one.

Adstar

= Ad + Star

= Adam + The Bright and Morning Star

From scripture.

Revelation 22
16 “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, The Bright and Morning Star.â€

LOL that looks hilarious!

It is. The opening scene gets you giggling straight away when the guys in the plane are going through like....a gazillion different procedures on their never ending checklist.

Peter Sellers plays 3 or 4 different roles.

When I get to watch it, I'll let you know. :)

My meaning of my username..... :chin

This one actually has no huge, significant, or interesting underlying meaning. I've had ones in the past that held more meaning. As for this one...... well, I just love the rain. :)

I thought about it for at least half a second then just wrote my first name in

and added an @ before it. ;) But that's forgotten now. :D
yeah that was the ultimate laziness I knew it would work. Don't you hate trying new names and typing those characters in from the captcha pictures if they are there each time you try.

It's just a name I like I use it everywhere I need a user-name :)
