The Ramble On thread

In a perfect world yes. I"ve heard many stories where devout Christian parents, totally involved in a Christian church, went every Sunday, and to Bible studies and raised their children the same, have their children turn away from the Church.
I've seen this, too but I've also seen it go the other (right) way. It depends on the person.
I think that's partly why I'm even more thankful that the Lord has opened my eyes is because, I grew up with "religion" and not knowing the real Jesus and now I do so I appreciate it more.

Well I'm not saying that there won't be a time when a child may rebel and go his own way, but God's word never comes back void and I believe that he will bring them back to their first Love it just might take some time. I for one am standing on that promise in Proverbs for my childrens sake also, in case they do decide to rebel like that. But as for now God has truly blessed me with them especially my oldest son who is 16 and tells me that he wants to save his first kiss for his Wife. How awsome is that??
Ok, that is REAL awesome!!!!!! His future wife is going to really appreciate him. Wow! Tell him GREAT JOB!
Did you ever see a movie called "Pamela's Prayer?" I haven't seen it but I have seen previews. It's about a girl whose dad wants her to wait for the right boy and wants her to refrain from kissing until then. Or something to that effect, anyway.

Hey Repub, Why don't you try jumping in on some of the other topics in here, there are some really interesting stuff being said! Especially with the Catholics here
That'd be awesome!
You were raised Catholic, too, right?

Does anybody here play board games?
What are your favs?
Backgammon is good, although I kinda forgot how to play.
Any of the UNO games (although that's not exactly a board game)
Balderdash is hilarious!
As a kid I liked Mouse Trap a lot.

I just played Skip Bo with my kids tonight (again, not a board game)

I can't think of any others at this time..... :smt022

My favorite game is chess...Actually it is the only game I play.
I always had trouble understanding that game. I took one of my kids to the library for us to learn but I was still scratching my head.

OH-- I just thought of a game that I love! It's called Mastermind. It's not really a board game even though there is a board. Do you know what game I'm talking about?
My mom always hated that game because she said there was "too much thinking involved."

I love the game of chess because it is a thinking game... I learned to play when I was 8 at the Library and by the time I was 10 I was playing in tournaments and became an expert by the time I was 11..

Wow! I'm glad to see that it all worked out for you.
I have a friend whose cousin was saved by reading the Left Behind series so I'm not surprised.
Now that's interesting. 8-)

 , I mean, :o :sad :fadein:

Care to share why??

I knew my time was short after the banana incident...Really, my ''religion'' was offensive to them...and I was labeled a radical right winged hypocrite... I took that as a compliment and I was gone.. :o ''but'' that just means I can now spend more time here :)

Are those threads that are locked going to reopen at anytime? :crying:

I don't know...right now I am inclined to say no...How ever, these discussions are more than welcome to take place in the debate forums....

I should also point out, that the locking of those catholic threads has nothing to do with our new members...This has been in discussion in the mod forum for some time.

We have Mod forum!?!?

Sister, the Apologetics Forum has been getting a bit hot over the last month or so, which is why we warned you at the beginning to Enter at you own Risk. LOL The Mods of that Forum are trying to iron things out as we speak.

Hey, at least we didn't poof them! ;-)
