The Ramble On thread

Blah, what am I doing up this early...?

Anyway, re-watching one of my favorite series...which happens to turn into a very sad story, enough to make anyone cry. I'm about to get to the saddest parts of all, and I have to keep reminding myself that it actually does have a happy ending...

questdriven:

Kleenex time, right...?

Heading out to see clients shortly...

So I go to bed at like 10, and end up waking up at some crazy hour like 3 AM. WHAT THE HECK. I can't go to bed at a normal time without waking up too early! (This happens a lot.)

The trick is to discipline oneself to keep regular hours, whether sleep is deep or not.

In the long term, regular hours make a difference.

What is this "regular hours" concept you speak of?

K:

It's been proven that 7/8 hours per night, with a regular sleeping pattern can have long term benefits, healthwise.

I have heard tell of this legendary 7-8 hours of sleep. Alas, I unfortunately shall not be able to experience this phenomenon for the foreseeable future.

Rambling is a form of meandering where that ol man river (no offense ladies, that's what she called it) is carrying a load and as the flow begins to slow the deposits of the sediment are released...

Such is the nature of the flow of water that a straight line is not found, there are mysteries in this, but what we see is a cutting of the outside banks where the sediments are picked up and a depositing along the inner banks where they are typically laid down. Further downstream there is a braiding that occurs where the river may be seen in an attempt to weave various things that it has picked up together into a single flow but some of the things and sediments are too much of a burden and they are laid down mid-channel. This process continues and the "braids" that are woven into the path eventually become meanders that can themselves be cut off while the river does its work.

When we see two streams come together at the head waters especially there is often turbulence and white waters that rafters may find thrills and chills thereby. Further downstream we will see a stronger river form and its capacity for load increases as does the power of that river now one.

Surprisingly perhaps, I am not speaking about rivers here, but am speaking about this forum and to a degree this thread instead. It is a mystery now revealed.

Sparrowhawk, you have a very poetical way of putting things.
Ever considered being a writer?

I am a writer.

Oh. Well, have you ever considered getting published?
:yes

I am published.

Oh. Well, have you ever considered doing it for a living?
:toofunny

There's no money in it. But yes, and my instructors at college continue to encourage me. I love to write but mostly short stories and blogs and stuff. There's going to be a 16 page assignment due at the end of the quarter in my English Composition class, taught by one of my favorite professors. Been working on a idea about that for a couple weeks now. Wish me luck, right?

The automated thread-splitter should do it's job after this post?
