There are some believers that see the time we are now living in as the millennium. They, preterist, think the second Advent of Christ happened when Jerusalem was destroyed in 70AD. I don't and have applied the following Scripture to refute it.
However, lately I have wondered about....
This speaks not only of Mary and our Savior, The Man Child, but is also about the church bringing forth her man child....the elect...us!
Those that shall be priests of God are the man child, the elect, those "caught up unto God." In order to be of the first resurrection one must obtain that place while in our flesh life. After our physical death...it is too late. So, I wondered...are we resurrected spiritually before our death? Is that what this means? If yes then...the resurrection has passed for some and I need to make amends with some preterist friends. Then....I read the following and it became clearer:
We are not resurrected when we accept Him but we are "translated into His kingdom!" We walk with God now....just as Enoch did and we too are translated to His kingdom...even while we are in flesh. Isn't that the most amazing and wonderful thing to understand?
We who are the elect, are the man child, have the testimony of Christ. Christ abides in us and walks in us now....we have been "translated" or "caught up" into His kingdom, delivered from the "power of darkness" and...we shall not "see death," for, "on such the second death hath no power." We are not yet resurrected, the resurrection has not "past already" but we "have part in the first resurrection," for we are caught up with Him.
- 11 Timothy 2:16-18 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymeanaeus and Philetus; Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already, and overthrow the faith of some.
However, lately I have wondered about....
- Revelation 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to His throne.
This speaks not only of Mary and our Savior, The Man Child, but is also about the church bringing forth her man child....the elect...us!
- Revelation 20:5-6 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

- Colossians 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son; In Whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins;
We are not resurrected when we accept Him but we are "translated into His kingdom!" We walk with God now....just as Enoch did and we too are translated to His kingdom...even while we are in flesh. Isn't that the most amazing and wonderful thing to understand?
- Genesis 5:22-24 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
