The rich can't survive without the poor

I don't feel that they are stealing from the rich.
The poor aren't stealing from the rich, the gov't is stealing from the rich (supposeldy on behalf of the poor.)

If the government didn't have so much wasteful spending and wasn't so corrupt... It's ridiculous the money they blow..
Agreed.

The government raises our taxes and they don't get enough done.
Agreed.

They raise the prices of food and feed us things that aren't even real food!!
How does the gov't raise the price of food? (I guess thru economic policies that devalue the dollar, so I'll give ya that one).
But the gov't does not "feed us things that are not real food" - ignorant consumers willingly buy the SAD (standard American diet).

Our soldiers are in other countries when they should be in our schools and such.
I don't see any role the military can or should play in our schools. This remark confuses me.

Besides, the government WANTS you to rely on them.
Yes, a large portion of the political class DOES want you to rely on gov't. But they don't want EVERYONE to rely on them, as they do need a considerable portion of the population to provide a tax base. (Well, even then you are still right -because the entire health care thing is all about gov't control of our lives.)

...On behalf of the poor??? Gov pockets have holes...you can't fill their pockets.

Of course, The tail of the Dragon wouldn't be the same without me.

(And I've been told that by three people!)

BACK TO TOPIC:
Rich = Bad
Poor = Good

A poor man wants the oyster
A rich man wants the pearl
But the man who can sing when he hasn't got a thing
He's the king of the whole wide world

Come on let's sing, sing brother sing
'Cos the man who can sing when he hasn't got a thing
He's the king of the whole wide world

The rich man wants the princess
The poor man just wants a girl
But the man who can sing when he hasn't got a thing
He's the king of the whole wide world

Come on let's sing, sing brother sing
'Cos the man who can sing when he hasn't got a thing
He's the king of the whole wide world

A poor man wants to be a rich man
A rich man wants to be a king
But the man who can sing when he hasn't got a thing
He's the king of the whole wide world

Come on let's sing, sing brother sing
'Cos the man who can sing when he hasn't got a thing
He's the king of the whole wide world

Come on let's sing, sing brother sing
'Cos the man who can sing when he hasn't got a thing
He's the king of the whole wide world
Of the whole wide world
Of the whole wide world

I think of the rich and poor arguments are blown out of proportion because of the name. For the most part when we hear of the poor, there is the image of "welfare queens" or people faking disability. When we here about the Rich, we are presented with a vileness, cigar chomping ceo who is looking for ways to wring money from the poor. Both are extreme exaggerations. Its also not so much that the rich and poor need each other, but more along the lines of a business needs a head and then laborers underneath to function. So entrepreneurs need both investors and laborers to function properly.

The poor ( generally what I mean by this is; the elderly, children, physically and/or mentally disabled, and the temporarily unemployed) need basically anyone willing to help them, be it family, a charity, kindness of a stranger, or a government program.

I think most of this is just political games being played against both major parties and both bases being told that the Rich or the Poor are the reason they are not getting what they want. Or the Libertarians says its mostly Washington hallabalu, which isn't wrong.

Meh, that is just my take on it I guess.

...On behalf of the poor??? Gov pockets have holes...you can't feel their pockets.
Government has to justify it's taxes. It claims its taxes benefit the poor (because it's hard to sell the idea of loving a missile, a tank or a helicopter). But the government programs that allegedly help the poor are eaten up by administrative costs and to line the pockets of fat-cat government bureaucrats who live in fancy houses and drive fancy cars in neighborhoods far removed from the poverty they supposedly care so much about.

Yes, they steal from the rich on behalf of the poor ... but then they get greedy and don't give it to the poor like they promised.

Detroit pretty much drove out the rich white folk for politics.
And took investment money with them.

Again I ask.
Where does the money come from at the top of that pic?

I'm on my iPhone so I'm not even going to try to do separate quotes but I'll do my best to make sense!

I agree government is stealing from the rich! Everyones taxes are too high because the government is too big.

I did mean they raise the price of food by devaluing the dollar. And the FDA is run by the same guys who run the biggest food companies, and they make the food regulations. You're right they don't force feed anyone but they have driven the cost of organic so high it's hard for most people to afford to eat organic non-GMO food. GMOs are causing so many illnesses and injuries... I have to stop before I start ranting! Anyway You are right, they aren't feeding us anything, but have you heard of Monsanto? Scary stuff. Even organic produce is genetically modified unless you are using heirloom seeds, am I right?

I feel like the majority of the troops need to be brought home to defend us at home. I don't see why putting a couple of soldiers and veterans at each school is a bad idea. Do we think they can protect our kids? Do we not trust them to do this? I feel like it would be money better spent.

When I say the govt wants you to rely on them, I mean food stamps and medical benefits more than welfare.

I'm glad we could agree on some things!

Well said! Except the govt aren't stealing from the private bank owners, who are the richest.. The richest are stealing from our government with the interest they charge and in a word they are stealing our entire government, if they don't already own it. Seeing as how they pay off the politicians.

Proverbs 30:14
There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.
